Denny Hamlin<\/a><\/strong> had a hilarious response to a review from a Kyle Busch and Joey Logano fan during the latest episode of his Actions Detrimental<\/a><\/em>\u00a0podcast.<\/p>\n

Yes, that\u2019s Kyle Busch and<\/em> Joey Logano \u2014 this fan has two favorite drivers, and it\u2019s the heated rivals of Busch and Logano. While the reviewer left some nice notes for Hamlin, the No. 11 wheelman was taken aback by the news, and made sure to point it out.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow\u2019s that \u2014 this guy has problems anyway, if he\u2019s a Kyle Busch and [Joey] Logano fan? That\u2019s oil and water,\u201d Hamlin laughed<\/a>. \u201c\u2026 You might need to get your head checked, if you\u2019re a Logano and Busch fan. So I appreciate your review, but you\u2019re going to have to hit me up on social and let me known how you became fans of both, because these two guys might be as opposite as you possibly can, possibly can get. And maybe that\u2019s \u2014 he just wants to cover his bases.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perhaps they\u2019ll add Hamlin to the mix, now that he\u2019s basically given them a shoutout on his podcast. Still, the crossover between Busch and Logano doesn\u2019t make a lot of sense, especially given the history between the two drivers.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, all three of the aforementioned drivers should play a role in this weekend\u2019s Enjoy Illinois 300 Presented by TicketSmarter at World Wide Technology Raceway in Gateway Motorsports Park. Busch actually won the event last season, so we\u2019ll see if the No. 8 can do it again in 2024.<\/p>\n

Denny Hamlin pressed on whether Kyle Larson should get a waiver from NASCAR after missing Coca-Cola 600 start<\/h2>\n

After Mother Nature ruined\u00a0Kyle Larson\u2019s<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0attempt at pulling the double \u2014 racing both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day \u2014 all the talk has been whether the Hendrick Motorsports wheelman should receive a waiver for the Cup Series playoffs, as he missed the race in Charlotte.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a unique situation, as Larson would\u2019ve been able to participate in the race, but it was called early due to rain, and Christopher Bell was named the winner a little more than halfway through. Denny Hamlin<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0elaborated on whether he\u2019d give Larson a waiver, if it were up to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got asked that question by a couple people at JGR. \u2026 They said, \u2018Do you think he should get a waiver?\u2019 And I said quickly, \u2018Yeah, absolutely.\u2019 They were like, \u2018Really? So what if you want to go race Le Mans next year? Should you get a waiver?\u2019 I said, \u2018Hm, that\u2019s a good point. I didn\u2019t think about it like that.\u2019 What defines a major event? There are lots of major events,\u201d\u00a0Hamlin said, regarding Larson choosing the Indianapolis 500 over the Coca-Cola 600.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cNow, Kyle wasn\u2019t missing this to go to a high-limit race. You know, he was missing this to do the Indy 500. I don\u2019t know how NASCAR feels about him choosing Indy over the Coke 600, but I think you\u2019d be hard-pressed to convince me that the Coke 600 is a bigger event than the Indy 500. Would anyone make that argument?<\/p>\n

\u201cI think yes, he absolutely should (receive the waiver). I think absolutely, he will. I would think that they would have a tough time \u2014 I think it would be very hard \u2014 they made this decision, without already consulting with NASCAR, on what they would do.\u201d<\/p>\n

The competitor and the team-owner in Denny Hamlin would like to see Kyle Larson granted a waiver for the playoffs. It\u2019s easy to see why, and it would certainly be controversial if NASCAR doesn\u2019t grant the No. 5 team one over the next couple of days.<\/a><\/p>\n
