On Friday, the 4-star prospect arrived in Gainesville for his Florida Gators official visit. Billy Napier<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s program currently holds the slight edge over Georgia in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On3 Industry Ranking<\/strong>: No. 278 prospect | No. 30 linebacker | No. 32 prospect in Georgia
Commitment Status<\/strong>: Uncommitted
Top Contenders<\/strong>: Florida, Georgia, USC, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Ole Miss, etc.
Other Official Visits<\/strong>: USC (June 7), Georgia (June 14), Kentucky (June 17) and Tennessee (June 21).
Florida\u2019s Need<\/strong>: The Gators signed a strong linebacker class in December and can build on that with a top target like Gass. Florida\u2019s staff is comparing him to Grayson Howard<\/a><\/strong>, another MIKE linebacker standing 6-foot-4. This would be a quality addition for the Gators.
Recruitment 411<\/strong>: Official visits will have a significant impact, but Florida and Tennessee have been recruiting Gass the hardest as of late. Keep an eye on in-state Georgia as well. As for the Gators, they have been consistent all year and are making a strong case heading into this weekend.

I like how he affects the game off the edge as well. He does a good job of accelerating at the snap and making plays behind the line. There is versatility in Christian Gass\u2019 game, making him that much more intriguing for schools.
