COLUMBUS \u2014 Ohio State kicks off its summer official visit weekends Friday when the first batch of 2025 prospects makes its way to campus.<\/p>\n
Lettermen Row<\/a> counts 10 official visits will happen this weekend. We ran through the list on Tuesday and will do so again on Friday.<\/p>\n Four-star Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods EDGE Justin Hill<\/a><\/strong> is one of the highest-ranked prospects who will be in Columbus this weekend for an official visit, and he is perhaps the most important target of the group. On3 ranks Hill as the No. 52 overall prospect in the 2025 class and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Ohio, which makes him highest-ranked uncommitted player in the state.<\/p>\n Hill has visited Ohio State a handful of times in his recruitment so there is not much he needs to see from the Buckeyes, but he is hoping to get a better feel for campus and the Columbus area on his official visit.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to just get the fact that I can live there,\u201d Hill told Lettermen Row. \u201cObviously, I\u2019m not far from home, if I were to go to that school. But I want to be able to be happy where I\u2019m at.\u201d<\/p>\n The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Hill is being recruited by the Buckeyes to play the \u201cJACK\u201d position in coordinator Jim Knowles<\/a><\/strong>\u2018 defense and is eager to hear more about how the coaching staff plans to implement the position if he does commit to Ohio State.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cObviously, I gotta work to play,\u201d Hill said. \u201cBut I want to be that \u2014 in that JACK position \u2014 that guy that they want. I\u2019m gonna get ready and learn the defense. And they talked about when a commitment comes around that they\u2019re going to slowly implement the defense and Coach [Larry] Johnson<\/a><\/strong> was talking about pass rush [and] when I can come up to camps to get 1-on-1 pass rush with them and a bunch of cool stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n In the end, Hill has seen enough from Ohio State and is just happy to finally be taking his official visit to Columbus.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m trying to think, it ain\u2019t really a lot of things that I need to see from them,\u201d he said, \u201cbecause I\u2019ve been up there a bunch. I mean, it\u2019s a great, great place to play.\u201d<\/p>\n Ohio State linebackers coach James Laurinaitis<\/a><\/strong> has been Hill\u2019s primary recruiter in Columbus for several months, and he will be busy this weekend with four-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn<\/a><\/strong> and Ohio State linebacker commitment Tarvos \u201cTJ\u201d Alford<\/a><\/strong> on campus along with Hill.
