Nashville (Tenn). Christ Presbyterian Academy 2024 linebacker Crews Law<\/a><\/strong> landed a Miami<\/a><\/strong> offer last week after the Hurricanes<\/a><\/strong>\u2018 coaching staff stopped by his school on an evaluation visit, the three-star linebacker told CaneSport.<\/p>\n

Law, the No. 721 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking and a 6-foot-1, 217-pound recruit, added Miami to his list of nearly two dozen schools to offer him already, including USC<\/a><\/strong>, Ole Miss<\/a><\/strong>, Kentucky<\/a><\/strong> and North Carolina<\/strong>, among others. He has official visits set to Virginia Tech<\/strong>, Vanderbilt<\/strong>, Kentucky<\/strong> and North Carolina<\/strong> this summer, but Miami made a splash with its offer.<\/p>\n

Tight ends coach Cody Woodiel<\/a><\/strong> dropped by CPA last week, and linebackers coach Derek Nicholson<\/a><\/strong> called Law after the visit to formally extend the offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m interested (in Miami),\u201d Law said. \u201cI know that it\u2019s historically a great football program, and obviously some great linebackers have come out of Miami. The school seems awesome!\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicholson made a strong impression on Law and played a significant role in helping Miami capture his interest. He\u2019s also extremely aware of Miami\u2019s linebacker history with players like Ray Lewis and Jonathan Vilma.<\/p>\n

Law said North Carolina, Kentucky, USC, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Stanford have stood out early. He\u2019s yet to visit Miami but has made trips to North Carolina (twice), Ole Miss, Virginia Tech and Duke already this spring. <\/p>\n

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists North Carolina as the favorite to land Law with a 31.4% chance. Kentucky, Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt come in second through fourth, respectively, with an estimated 18.4% chance, 15.8% chance and 10% chance.<\/p>\n

Law holds an 87.06 On3 Industry Grade and is the country\u2019s No. 78 linebacker. He holds a $15.9k On3 NIL Valuation.<\/p>\n

CaneSport\u2019s Take<\/strong><\/p>\n

Miami can\u2019t get enough linebacker depth for future recruiting classes, so all new 2024 linebacker offers should be taken somewhat seriously this deep into the cycle. However, the Canes will likely have difficulty sliding into the driver\u2019s seat this far along in most prospects\u2019 recruitment.<\/p>\n

Law has already taken multiple visits to some of the schools he\u2019s most heavily considering, which means Miami probably needs to get him on campus sometime in the next few weeks before official visits start to have a serious chance. We\u2019ll also learn how much of a priority Miami views Law as in the next few weeks to see if the Canes push to establish daily contact or bring him to Coral Gables. <\/p>\n
