The four-star receiver is a top-100 prospect now, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/nc-state-wolfpack\/\">NC State<\/a> has been recruiting him for months.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He picked up an offer from the Wolfpack last fall. NC State was the second Power Four school to extend a scholarship. Since then, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and many others have all offered him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Columbia (S.C.) Ridge View High wide receiver, ranked No. 94 nationally and No. 1 in South Carolina\u2019s sophomore class, established himself as one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the country.\u00a0He\u2019s taking a patient approach to the recruiting process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going good,\u201d Gidron told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/nc-state-wolfpack\/\">TheWolfpacker.com.<\/a> \u201cJust trying to get to different schools, build a connection with different coaches, see who I like and what I don\u2019t like. It\u2019s early, just trying to make connections and figure out my favorite school.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gidron continued to add excitement to his recruitment when he posted a 10.68 100-meter-dash time this spring. The rising junior took home several South Carolina 4A outdoor track state championships.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He visited a long list of Power Four programs this spring, stopping by Clemson, Auburn, South Carolina and a few other schools. The 6-2, 185-pound receiver visited NC State twice last fall\u2014 watching the Pack defeat VMI and North Carolina, but he did not make it back to campus in the spring.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Going into the summer, Gidron said Alabama, South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, NC State, Georgia and UNC are a few of the schools standing out to him. He\u2019s considering a return to Raleigh soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI might get up there this summer,\u201d Gidron said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The four-star pass catcher has already built a bond with wide receivers coach <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/coach\/joker-phillips-133449\/\">Joker Phillips<\/a><\/strong>, and he is working on strengthening that connection. Gidron remains interested in the Wolfpack thanks to the positive impression he took in from both of his previous visits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt seemed like a great place to be,\u201d Gidron said. \u201cThey develop their players. I liked the facility and how close they are as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NC State has established itself as one of the early contenders here. The receiver is looking for a school that feels like home and a coaching staff that will help develop him into an NFL player.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During his sophomore season, Gidron caught 45 passes for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns.
