While the plan for Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+<\/a> safety KJ Bolden<\/a><\/strong> may originally have been to commit during the summer, those plans have changed. Bolden will instead commit during the season after he\u2019s taken his official visits.<\/p>\n

Bolden\u2019s family confirmed to On3 that his current list of official visits include Clemson<\/a><\/strong> (June 2), Georgia<\/a><\/strong> (June 9), Ohio State <\/a><\/strong>(June 17), Alabama<\/a><\/strong> (June 23) and Auburn<\/a><\/strong> (September 29). Other schools could receive an official from Bolden but he won\u2019t commit until after all of his officials are fully finished.<\/p>\n

Schools like Arkansas<\/a><\/strong>, Florida<\/a><\/strong> and Florida State<\/a><\/strong> could be in the mix for one of those officials as Bolden has taken taken multiple visits to each school.<\/p>\n

Growing up Bolden\u2019s said that he was a Florida State fan and having visited the school multiple times already, knows what the school has to offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of schools keep communicating with me,\u201d Bolden told On3 in March<\/a>. \u201cWho gets the other official visits is really up in the air. Whatever I feel like is the best, I\u2019m just gonna go with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bolden is the No. 5 overall prospect and No. 1 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/strong><\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Georgia.<\/p>\n

The race for Bolden\u2019s pledge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine<\/a> is a close. Georgia remains at the top at 29.5% while Ohio State and Clemson aren\u2019t far off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like a priority, but they\u2019ve always been recruiting me the same, as one of their top guys,\u201d Bolden told On3. \u201c\u2026 Georgia, they\u2019re down the road. I could always go down there any time I want.<\/p>\n

Bolden also said in that interview that he liked how Ohio State\u2019s players bond. He also said that uckeyes head coach Ryan Day<\/a><\/strong> is a great guy. <\/p>\n

He noted that the same could be said about Clemson and the way they\u2019ve approached him in their recruitment. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t really recruit a lot of people,\u201d Bolden said. \u201cThey keep it small, they only recruit like two or three guys at your position. They\u2019re waiting for me to commit\u2026 They\u2019ve been showing a lot of love to me. They text me every day.\u201d<\/p>\n
