The third day of action from the 2024 Big 12 Baseball Tournament is underway. First up was an elimination game between the TCU Horned Frogs and the Kansas State Wildcats.<\/p>\n
To start the game, the Wildcats sent Jackson Wentworth<\/strong> to the mound. TCU countered by giving the ball to Ben Abeldt<\/strong> as its starting pitcher. Interestingly, Abeldt has been a reliever for the majority of the season and this was his first start. <\/p>\n Try Fubo for FREE today and don\u2019t miss any of the action!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n TCU jumped ahead early and before long and worked six unanswered runs before Kansas State was able to get someone across home plate. After that, the Wildcats were able to get things going and make it a much closer game than it looked like it was going to be early. However, the Kansas State pitchers struggled to ever stop the bleeding and TCU went on to win 9-4.<\/p>\n With the win, TCU is advancing in the Big 12 Tournament. They\u2019ll take on the loser of the Oklahoma-Kansas game. Meanwhile, Kansas State was eliminated and they\u2019ll have to wait to find out if their season will continue in the NCAA Tournament. <\/p>\n The Sooners-Jayhawks matchup was just as exciting, seeing the top-seeded Sooners edge to 7-seeded Kansas Jayhawks 7-5.
