If it felt like Joey Logano\u2019s victory<\/a> in Sunday\u2019s NASCAR<\/a><\/strong> All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway was a footnote of the night\u2019s proceedings, that\u2019s because, well, it was. <\/p>\n

Yes, Logano was dominant, leading an All-Star Race record 199-of-200 laps. Yes, Logano is $1 million richer. But his triumph at North Wilkesboro wasn\u2019t frontpage news on Monday morning. That belonged to Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch after the two got into a physical altercation in the infield after the race<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Denny Hamlin, who finished P2, was perhaps a bit more blunt in his assessment of Logano\u2019s win on his \u201cActions Detrimental<\/a>\u201d podcast, straight up saying that nobody \u201cgives a f***.\u201d <\/p>\n

Congrats to Joey and all, but his win just wasn’t the hardest-hitting storyline of the night <\/p>\n

\u201cI hate to say this \u2014 nobody gives a f*** about Joey Logano winning the All-Star Race,\u201d Hamlin said. \u201cThat\u2019s a fact. And I hate that our media was like, \u2018Oh my gosh, they\u2019re only showing the fight.\u2019 Well, yeah. We gotta understand who we are. With all due respect to the 22, nobody gives a s***. That\u2019s just a fact and if it was the 11, nobody would give a s*** either. It\u2019s just this was the story out of it. Thank God, because this podcast would have been over 20 minutes ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joey Logano gets back to Victory Lane with All-Star Race win<\/h2>\n

Hamlin probably isn\u2019t far off in his assessment, though the win was still very meaningful for Logano, even if it wasn\u2019t an official points race. The two-time Cup Series champion has had a season to forget thus far, and getting to Victory Lane in any capacity just could be the catalyst in turning things around. Heading into the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway this Sunday, Logano sits 17th in the points standings, with just three top 10s and one top-5 finish. <\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of fun when you\u2019ve got a car this fast,\u201d Logano said after the race. \u201cThe Shell\/Pennzoil Mustang, it\u2019s just so great to get in Victory Lane. All of our sponsors and everyone who stuck with us to get a win, it feels nice. It\u2019s been a while. I wish it was for points, but a million bucks is still a lot of money and I feel great about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
