The 6-foot-4 point guard out of Harvard-Westlake was previously signed with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/usc-trojans\/\">USC<\/a><\/strong> but reopened his recruitment after <strong>Andy<\/strong> <strong>Enfield<\/strong> made the jump to <strong>SMU<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>The four-star senior is ranked as the No. 34 overall player in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings and is a McDonald\u2019s All-American. <\/p>\n<p>Perry discussed his commitment to UCLA with On3. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI chose UCLA because of the opportunity to play at the highest level in my home town,\u201d he said. \u201cCoach Cronin has a great vision for me and the team and I can\u2019t wait to work with the guys we have.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Perry Scouting Report<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cTrent Perry has a smooth feel for the game. He plays with a mental toughness, with good positional size, and a well-rounded skill set. He is a smooth shooter with range off the bounce and off the catch. He has a repeatable load with a consistent release at each level. He is also a capable ball handler. He can get a team into sets and handle the pressure of point of attack defense. He is an average athlete that lacks top end burst, which could pose some questions. High IQ player, he understands footwork and angles on both ends of the floor.
