TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA \u2014 Four-star edge Jalen Wiggins<\/a><\/strong> of Rickards High committed to the Florida Gators in January but offers keep coming in. Notre Dame joined the mix this week. That gives him 30.<\/p>\n

But right now, he continues to feel good about the orange and blue.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely solid,\u201d Wiggins told Gators Online.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wiggins is the jewel of the 2025 Florida class at the moment with his No. 92 national ranking with the On3 Industry. He\u2019s also stout in the classroom; Wiggins has a 4.2 GPA and will graduate in December.<\/p>\n

According to Wiggins, his relationship with the Gators is strong. When asked which college coach was recruiting him hardest out of all the schools in pursuit, he named Florida\u2019s defensive coordinator.<\/p>\n

\u201cProbably Coach (Austin) Armstrong<\/a><\/strong>,\u201d Wiggins said. \u201cI think he usually calls me every other day \u2026 It\u2019s always been great with (Armstrong and edge coach Mike Peterson<\/a><\/strong>). Every time I go up there, I always appreciate it. I always text with Coach Peterson and talk on the phone. I also talk with Coach Armstrong on the phone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jalen Wiggins<\/a><\/strong> has visited the Gators a few times this year<\/h2>\n

Wiggins visited the Gators multiple times during the spring and watched them in practice and during the Orange & Blue Game. He said he was impressed by the coaches \u2014 and the players.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think their coaching style is great,\u201d Wiggins said. \u201cI even got a chance to see them in the scrimmage. And I got to see them up close a lot better. I feel like they\u2019re coaching in a great way.\u201d<\/p>\n

That Florida rotated lots of players was something Wiggins also liked.<\/p>\n

As for the team itself, Wiggins said he sees great improvement from last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe they\u2019ll be better,\u201d he said. \u201cI think it\u2019s honestly the young guys that have come u \u2014 I think they\u2019ve matured. Most of the kids last year, they were kind of young. Now they have experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

What would it take for someone to make Wiggins think twice about his commitment?<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know \u2014 I just feel like in general, it\u2019ll be pretty hard,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019ll have to be something game-changing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wiggins will officially visit Florida on June 7. But Florida State and Stanford also will get officials. And now, possibly Notre Dame, too.<\/p>\n

If there\u2019s a No. 2 team in this recruitment, it\u2019s probably FSU, Wiggins said. Three coaches from that program were at his school Wednesday. The Gators will visit Wiggins next Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re kind of talking to me more about trying to get back (there) before the official visit,\u201d Wiggins said of FSU.<\/p>\n

The Seminoles\u2019 pitch to him?<\/p>\n

\u201cMainly just being able to stay in town,\u201d Wiggins said. \u201cThat\u2019s kind of the one thing that keeps you supported further than just football in general.\u201d<\/p>\n
