Jamier Jones<\/a><\/strong>, one of the top prospects in the 2025 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to six, he told On3. Moving forward, the 6-foot-6 small forward out of Oak Ridge (FL) will consider Ohio State, Houston, South Carolina, LSU, Kansas, <\/strong>and Providence. <\/strong><\/p>\n

To this point in his recruitment, the four-star junior has taken an official visit to Providence and unofficial visits to South Carolina and LSU. <\/p>\n

Jones talks programs<\/h2>\n

In a previous interview with On3, Jamier Jones discussed the six programs involved in his recruitment. <\/p>\n

Ohio State:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cBrice Sensabaugh<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0came from our program (FL Rebels<\/a>) so I watched him. Just seeing Brice and where he came from with us, playing against him, and seeing him go to (Ohio State), and then now to the league. So its definitely something to keep an eye on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Houston:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cCoach Sampson keeps in a lot of contact with me. He was one of the first people to call me as soon as the live period opened. They\u2019ve been staying in touch pretty hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

South Carolina:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cSouth Carolina was good. It was an unofficial visit too. That was just to see if I wanted to come back (for an official) and I definitely want to. The coaches were very welcoming too, even the head coach. They talk to me every week and they came to my first game of the season so it was good to see him pop out. It\u2019s going good with them too.\u201d<\/p>\n

LSU:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cIt was an unofficial visit. The atmosphere was crazy. The fanbase was crazy. A lot of the people there were welcoming so that\u2019s really good to have around you. I\u2019ve known coach Kaine for a minute. He\u2019s been the one keeping in contact with me. It\u2019s been good. He checks in on me every week, in school, off the court and on the court.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kansas:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cIt\u2019s a blue blood, you can\u2019t go wrong with that for sure. I mess with the coach. He stays in contact as much as he can.\u201d<\/p>\n

Providence:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cThat was an official visit. That was fun. That was definitely fun. I went up there not knowing anything, and they turned my mind around. It was crazy. The fanbase was crazy. Everything was crazy. I definitely liked that visit too. The coaches were keeping it real with me from the start. I love coach English. He\u2019s a nice dude for sure. A good person to be around.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/strong>, Jones is the No. 18 overall player in the nation in the 2025 cycle. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.<\/p>\n
