Houston Texans star quarterback C.J. Stroud<\/a><\/strong> is enjoying the 2024 NFL Draft surrounded by fellow big leaguers one year after going No. 2 overall. The former first-rounder, along with Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons<\/a><\/strong>, spoke to new Minnesota Vikings rusher Dallas Turner<\/a><\/strong> shortly after his selection at No. 17 overall on the Bleacher Report live draft show.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Turner, Stroud had a hot take about the former Crimson Tide star\u2019s Draft Night outfit. Instead of a neutral, the edge rusher opted to sport a minty green suit with a gold\/yellow tie. He also sported some oversized sunglasses.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, congratulations. Happy for you,\u201d Stroud said. \u201cI\u2019m happy for you but I got to be real with you, top-five worst suits I\u2019ve ever seen in my life. Not even gunna lie, bro.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turner quickly clapped back at Stroud\u2019s roast, saying: \u201cThat\u2019s coming from a person who don\u2019t know how to dress. I guess if that\u2019s your opinion, that\u2019s your opinion.\u201d He then shared that his glasses are about \u201cfour or five,\u201d in hundreds, presumably.<\/p>\n

Dallas Turner becomes third defender taken in 2024 NFL Draft<\/h2>\n

After going No. 17 overall in the first round, Dallas Turner is hauling in a massive payday.\u00a0Per Spotrac<\/strong><\/a>, Turner is expected to earn a four-year, fully-guaranteed $15.7 million contract with the Vikings, including an $8.2 million signing bonus and a fifth-year option in 2028.<\/p>\n

In the 2023 campaign, Turner was named a first-team All-American by CBS Sports,\u00a0The Athletic<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0USA Today<\/em>\u00a0after recording 53 tackles, a team-high 14.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks which led the SEC. He was named a finalist for the Bednarik Award, which is presented to the nation\u2019s top defender.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of Turner\u2019s best games from last season was against\u00a0Ole Miss<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0where he had 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. He also stood out in the SEC Championship game against the\u00a0Georgia<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Bulldogs, tallying a sack and four tackles to help Alabama take down the Bulldogs who haven\u2019t lost a game since the 2021 SEC Championship.<\/p>\n

Turner played high school football at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was a five-star recruit. He ranked as the No. 9 overall prospect and the No. 2 edge rusher in the 2021 class,\u00a0according to the\u00a0On3 Industry Rating<\/strong><\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
