Ole Miss wrapped up spring ball with one of the most unique \u201cspring games\u201d we have seen in college football. Lane Kiffin<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s 2024 team is, on paper at least, one of the most talented groups in the country. The Rebels are currently sitting at -133 odds, per FanDuel, to make the College Football Playoff in 2024-2025. But the future of the program is looking just as bright.<\/p>\n

OMSpirit spoke with Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner<\/a><\/strong> about three of his incoming freshmen. The staffer gives his take on the spring performances and outlook for the fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has all the physical tools, strong at the point of attack,\u201d Joyner said. \u201cHe has a burning desire to be great. Kept getting better as spring went on.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-6, 265 pound prospect was the No. 81 overall prospect, No. 10 defensive lineman and No. 1 player in Mississippi in the nation, according to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/strong><\/a>, a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.<\/p>\n

\u201c(He) was limited due to his shoulder injury,\u201d Joyner said. \u201cHe has good movement skills and kept getting better, though.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rush was the No. 293 overall prospect and No. 30 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/strong><\/a>, a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.\u00a0He was also the No. 9 player in Mississippi.<\/p>\n

\u201cDidn\u2019t do spring because of foot surgery,\u201d Joyner said. \u201cHe had a really good winter workouts, though. Has good movement skills and pass rush ability.\u201d<\/p>\n
