Flipping 4-star edge Jakaleb Faulk<\/a><\/strong> from Auburn \u201cis going to be very hard,\u201d he said Monday. Not only is his brother, defensive lineman Keldric Faulk<\/a><\/strong>, a rising Tigers sophomore and one of the best players on that roster, but Jakaleb lives just 90 minutes from the school.<\/p>\n

But Florida \u2014 and others \u2014 are giving it a shot. Faulk, a standout at Highland Home (Ala.) and the No. 110<\/a> overall recruit nationally for the On3 Industry Rankings, will officially visit the Gators on June 7.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course \u2014 it\u2019s on,\u201d Faulk told Gators Online. \u201cFlorida is going to have to show me a good time. At the same time, we\u2019ve got to talk about business. Not about money, but about me being on the field, doing what I want to do in life. That\u2019s what I want to look at.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faulk has visited the Gators multiple times in the past, but was last on the Gainesville campus in March of 2023. Yet, according to Faulk he communicates regularly with the Gators staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talk to them almost every day,\u201d Faulk said. \u201cI talk to Coach (Ron) Roberts<\/a><\/strong>, Coach ( Cannon) Gibbs and Coach (Austin) Armstron<\/a><\/strong>g. We mainly text, but sometimes we\u2019ll call. They know I\u2019ve been coming (to Florida) since my seventh-grade year. My brother was in the ninth-grade. Since I got to the ninth-grade, it\u2019s just been me. I like the environment at Florida, the people \u2014 I just like Florida and love the school and love the people there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roberts was Auburn\u2019s defensive coordinator in 2023 \u2014 his brother\u2019s freshman season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got to know him really well,\u201d Faulk said. \u201cHe\u2019s a great dude, and he just talks well about everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Faulk, officials also will go to Auburn, Alabama and Florida State. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m committed, but I\u2019m going to weigh my options until the end because you never know if you can find a new home,\u201d Faulk said. \u201c(His family) tells me to go where I want to go. Follow my heart. Me and my brother might not always have the same home.\u201d<\/p>\n
