LSU<\/a> was in attendance for the spring game of 2024 Picayune Memorial (Miss.) linebacker\u00a0Jamonta Waller<\/a><\/strong>. Outside linebackers coach John Jancek was at the game on Thursday, getting to see the Top 100 prospect.<\/p>\n

Waller\u00a0has already squared away his first four official visits for the summer \u2014 to\u00a0Auburn<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Penn State<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Florida<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Georgia<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 in the month of June. He\u2019s eyeing a fifth at the end of July with four teams in the mix.\u00a0Ole Miss leads the\u00a0On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine<\/a>, but maybe Waller will get out of state. The Rebels and Mississippi State remain firmly in the mix.<\/p>\n

Among the teams under consideration for that final visit are LSU, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee. Waller made visits out to each of those SEC schools during a busy spring tour across the Southeast.<\/p>\n

With Jancek swinging by for his Spring Game, the Tigers are hoping to secure that visit. There\u2019s work to be done. Waller knows what he\u2019s looking for though in a college.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust start breaking everything down because you can only pick one school,\u201d he said of his priorities in a school. \u201cI\u2019m just taking my time and trying to see everything. I want to find a college that can develop me into a great young man, not just a football player. I can\u2019t play football forever, everybody knows that. Great degree. My goal is to get to the NFL so I want to go to a school that can develop me to get there.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Waller is the No. 80 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 7 overall linebacker in the country.<\/p>\n

As a junior, Jamonta Waller made 106 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks and one interception.<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n
