When Jerry Jones isn\u2019t running the Dallas Cowboys into the ground as the most underachieving franchise of the last three decades, he\u2019s helping John Calipari steal recruits from Kentucky to bring to Fayetteville.<\/p>\n

Yes, you read that correctly \u2014 especially the underachieving for three decades part.<\/p>\n

Jones, a co-captain of Arkansas\u2019 1964 national championship football team and a native of North Little Rock, is reportedly funding the Razorbacks\u2019 NIL efforts in a major way. Coach Cal wants to bring his second-ranked recruiting class with him to Fayetteville, and according to college basketball insider Trilly Donovan, Jones is offering double what they were set to make at Kentucky.<\/p>\n

Five of Kentucky\u2019s six commitments in the 2024 recruiting class have backed out since Coach Cal\u2019s departure with Travis Perry remaining as the lone signee for the Wildcats. Karter Knox was first, followed by Jayden Quaintance, Somto Cyril, Boogie Fland and Billy Richmond.<\/p>\n

None of the five have flipped their pledges to Arkansas with Zvonimir Ivisic being the lone Wildcat to follow Calipari to Fayetteville officially, transferring to join the Razorbacks earlier this week. <\/p>\n

That class was ranked No. 2 overall in\u00a0On3\u2019s 2024 Industry Basketball Team Recruiting Rankings<\/a> before crumbling in recent days.<\/p>\n

Will Jerry Jones be the one to re-assemble them in Fayetteville? If his reputation of building early-exit rosters in Dallas is any indication, I think Kentucky will be just fine.<\/p>\n
