On Saturday, the Masters announced its prize money payouts. The storied event waits until a cut is made before announcing the lucrative<\/a><\/strong> opportunities waiting at the end of the weekend. For the third straight year, the overall purse at the Masters increased.<\/p>\n

The overall purse this year sits at a whopping $20 million. That\u2019s $2 million more than last year\u2019s $18 million overall purse and $5 million more than the $15 million purse in 2022. Since 2015, the overall purse has doubled.<\/p>\n

With the growth, the Masters now matches the U.S. Open as the top-paying men\u2019s major championship. This year, the winner will take home $3.6 million while the runner-up will receive $2.16 million.<\/p>\n

Entering the final day of the legendary competition, Scottie Scheffler leads the pack at seven strokes below par while Collin Morikawa follows only one stroke behind. Jon Rahm, who signed with LIV Golf this past December and is the defending Masters champion<\/a><\/strong>, is in 28th place at five strokes over par.<\/p>\n

Tiger Woods confirms he will play final round at the Masters<\/h2>\n

Tiger Woods has looked superhuman at several times throughout his storied career. He even managed to surprise everyone this weekend at the Masters by simply making the cut in the severely windy conditions at Augusta National.<\/p>\n

Amid some concerns he might withdraw from the tournament, Woods confirmed he will again tee it up for the final round of the tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy team will get me ready. It will be a long night and a long warmup session, but we\u2019ll be ready,\u201d Woods said on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

Woods carded a 10-over par (82) in the third round, following four straight bogeys on the back nine. His total score after three rounds was 11-over. Despite that, Tiger\u2019s signature Sunday red will again grace the grounds of Augusta National.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to PGA TOUR Communications<\/a><\/strong>, the 10-over 82 was just the seventh score of 80 or higher on the PGA Tour and his third in a major (first since the first round of the 2015 U.S. Open). Woods is currently in a tie for 52nd place.<\/p>\n
