And a Masters green jacket turns into a must-wear for at least one Sunday.

So who might win this year’s Masters? Well, we’ve got the odds from FanDuel sportbook. There are story lines aplenty as the top golfers from the PGA and LIV reunite, at least for four rounds. But we’ll let Jon Rahm, the defending champion, sum up the top narrative.

“I think that’s what’s making this Masters and many other majors so much fun, not only for me and for players but for spectators, is for all of us to be able to play together again and showcase what we’re capable of,” Rahm said.

Scottie Scheffler +430

Danielle Parhizkaran-Augusta Chronicle/USA TODAY Sports

Why would anyone want to bet against Scheffler, the top-ranked golfer in the world. He’s already one twice this season, with victories at the The Players Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Those are two key early tournaments coming into Augusta.

Scheffler won here in 2022. And in his three other appearances, he’s never finished out of the top 20. The former Texas Longhorn tied for 10th a year ago.

Rory McIlroy +1200

Erik Williams-USA TODAY Sports

Will this be the April that McIlroy, who ranks second in the world, finally wins the career Grand Slam? He owns the other three titles, but there’s not a green jacket in his closet. This is the 10th attempt for the career slam.

Here’s another detail. There are five other players who have the career slam. Tiger Woods is the lone active player. The others who did so were Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. It took them no more than three times to finish off the slam sweep.

Jon Rahm +1400

Rob Schumacher/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Rahm is the defending Masters champion and he ranks third in the world. He charmed the Augusta crowd last year when he finally won the coveted green jacket.

Since then, Rahm abruptly skipped off to join the riches of LIV. He could make some golfing history if he wins this weekend. That’s because only three other golfers have won consecutive Masters — Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo.

Xander Schauffele +1800

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Schauffele ranks fifth in the world as he tries to win his first-ever Masters (and first Major). But he is one of the most consistent golfer on the tour this year.

So far this year, Schauffele has posted six top 10 finishes in eight starts. He’s coming off consecutive top five finishes with a second at The Players Championship.

Brooks Koepka +1900

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Koepka took his talents to LIV. But when the world golfers come together, there’s currently not a better American when it comes to winning Majors.

Koepka picked up his fifth Major last year when he won the PGA. He also tied for second at last year’s Masters.

Jordan Spieth +2100

Rob Schumacher/TheRepublic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Spieth hasn’t come back to his old form, back when he was winning Grand Slams. But Spieth and Augusta always are a good fit, no matter the golfer’s form.

He wants to win his second Masters, having claimed his first in 2015. Keep in mind, Spieth has posted six top 10 finishes over his last decade at the Masters and has finished no lower than 22 during that span. He’s coming off a 10th-place finish at the Valero Texas Open.

Hideki Matsuyama +2200

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Matsuyama celebrated one of the best moments of his golfing career three years ago in Augusta. That’s when he became the first golfer from Japan to win the Masters. Here’s a fun fact. He also was the low amateur at the tournament back in 2011. He’s won of seven golfers who have won the green jacket and low amateur in his career.

He’s posted one win this season, with a victory in the Genesis Invitational. And he’s coming off consecutive top 10 finishes as he arrives at the Masters.

Next layer of contenders

Joaquin Niemann +2700
Wyndham Clark +2800
Ludvig Aberg +2900
Viktor Hovland +3100
Cameron Smith +3200
Will Zalatoris +3200
Patrick Cantlay +3200
Bryson DeChambeau +3300
Justin Thomas +3400
Dustin Johnson +3800
Matt Fitzpatrick +3900
Sahith Theegala +4400
Collin Morikawa +4400
Tony Finau +4800
Shane Lowry +4800
Tommy Fleetwood +5000
Max Homa +5000
Brian Harman +5500
Sam Burns +5500
Cameron Young +6000
Jason Day +6000
Corey Conners +7000
Min Woo Lee +7500
Si Woo Kim +7500
Tiger Woods +7500
Patrick Reed +8000
Tyrrell Hatton +8500

These guys are long shots for Masters green

Tom Kim +10000
Sung-Jae Im +11000
Rickie Fowler +11000
Russell Henley +12000
Adam Scott +12000
Justin Rose +13000
Harris English +14000
Sepp Straka +16000
Nick Taylor +17000
Phil Mickelson +17000
Erik van Rooyen +17000
Matthieu Pavon +18000
Sergio Garcia +19000
Gary Woodland +19000
Cameron Davis +19000
Thorbjorn Olesen +19000
Eric Cole +19000
Jake Knapp +19000
Keegan Bradley +20000
Adrian Meronk +21000
Luke List +21000
Ryan Fox +22000
Chris Kirk +22000
Nick Dunlap +22000
Nicolai Hojgaard +22000
Adam Hadwin +22000
Peter Malnati +23000
Charl Schwartzel +24000
Emiliano Grillo +24000
Taylor Moore +28000
Kurt Kitayama +28000
Bubba Watson +28000
Ryo Hisatsune +28000
Austin Eckroat +28000
Lucas Glover +33000
Danny Willett +35000
Denny McCarthy +40000
Adam Schenk +49000
Lee Hodges +50000
Grayson Murray +55000
Christo Lamprecht +55000
Camilo Villegas +65000
Mike Weir +100000
Jose Maria Olazabal +100000
Fred Couples +100000
Vijay Singh +100000
Zach Johnson +100000
Stewart Hagestad +100000
Jasper Stubbs +100000
Santiago De La Fuente +100000
Neal Shipley +100000

Remember that the Masters starts this Thursday.
