Michigan co-defensive coordinator and area recruiter Steve Clinkscale<\/a><\/strong> has stayed on top of offering the elite talent in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, with some going out to those possessing only one year of high school under their belt. <\/p>\n

Back in March, Clinkscale pulled the trigger on 2026 Withrow University wide receiver Chris Henry Jr.<\/a><\/strong>, the son of Cincinnati Bengals great Chris Henry<\/a><\/strong>, and two of Henry\u2019s teammates. <\/p>\n

Henry and 2024 four-star cornerback Terhyron Nichols<\/a><\/strong>, who\u2019ll return for an official visit on June 23rd, each made the trip to Michigan together two months ago<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a good visit and I really liked it up there,\u201d Henry told The Wolverine<\/em>. \u201cIt was a nice environment. Getting an offer from them was an unbelievable moment for me. I really appreciated that they did that and I\u2019m thankful for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing from Ohio, a lot of people here don\u2019t really like Michigan all that much (laughs). But it\u2019s their winning pedigree. That and their coaching stands out to me a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michigan is one of over 20 FBS schools to offer Henry before his sophomore season. USC, Ohio State, Miami, Penn State, Georgia, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Notre Dame and others have expressed high interest as well. <\/p>\n

Getting up to Ann Arbor and watching spring practice this early allowed Henry to witness the competitiveness between everyone on the team, something that left a big impression on him. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m simply just enjoying the process, honestly,\u201d Henry said. \u201cI\u2019m continuing to explore my options and seeing what\u2019s out there. (One thing about Michigan) is the way that they practice because they work so hard. They\u2019re intense and truly compete.\u201d<\/p>\n

Henry would sit down with Clinkscale and Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy<\/a><\/strong> for meetings on the visit. <\/p>\n

\u201cI had really good talks with both Coach Clink and Coach Bellamy,\u201d Henry said. \u201cI like them and they\u2019re really cool people. They\u2019re nice coaches. They really like my size and how I move for my size. Also, my ability to track and catch the ball.\u201d<\/p>\n

At 6-foot-4 and 180-pounds, Henry and the rest of the 2026 class are not yet ranked on the On3 Industry Rankings<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

Henry has an On3 NIL Valuation<\/strong><\/a> of $25K with 17,300 followers across Instagram, TikTok and Twitter. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete\u2019s value at a certain moment in time.<\/p>\n
