Mississippi State<\/strong><\/a> wide receiver Jordan Mosley<\/a><\/strong> could be in line for a big 2023 season. The dynamic wideout hasn\u2019t had much opportunity in his career so far to be a playmaker, but Bulldogs head coach Zach Arnett<\/a><\/strong> said he has the potential to be that guy.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou look at his numbers and testing in the weight room and, and all that other stuff, he\u2019s a real explosive guy, real athletic guy,\u201d Arnett said after a spring practice in early April<\/a>. \u201cBut football is an uncomfortable game. You\u2019re always gonna be a little banged up or sore. Football players find a way to get through that and be out there and compete. I like seeing him out there today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mosley was a four-star recruit coming out of high school at Mobile (Ala.) McGill Toolen. He was ranked No. 317 overall and No. 49 among wide receivers in the 2021 On3 Industry Ranking<\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.<\/p>\n

He spent his first year at Northwestern<\/strong><\/a> before entering the transfer portal and ending up closer to home at Mississippi State.<\/p>\n

During his first year with the Bulldogs, Mosley played in three games and had two catches for 43 yards. There is a good collection of wide receiver talent returning for Mississippi State but Mosley can still be a real impact player for the Bulldogs come September.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need him,\u201d Arnett said. \u201cWe need him to be at his full potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

Will Rogers says Mississippi State is looking to have a big 2023 season<\/h2>\n

Jordan Mosley could be a major part of the Mississippi State offense, which is looking to make some noise this season in the always difficult SEC West.<\/p>\n

Senior quarterback\u00a0Will Rogers<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 who threw for 3,974 yards and 35 touchdowns last season \u2014\u00a0is back along with a collection of upperclassman. They hope to make the season one to remember for the Bulldogs faithful.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s kind of a lot of us\u2019 last ride. We\u2019ve been playing together for four years,\u201d Rogers said. \u201cWe\u2019ve played a lot of ball together. We\u2019ve won some games for this university. So I think if you ask that group of seniors and a lot those guys, I think that they would want to say that we want the eyes on us this year. We want to play in big games. We want the pressure on us, and we want it to be hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
