Carter Bryant<\/a><\/strong>, a four-star small forward in the class of 2024, has committed to Arizona<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound prospect at Newport Beach (Calif.) Sage Hill chose the Wildcats over offers from Gonzaga, Duke, Louisville, Michigan, UCLA, USC, and others.<\/p>\n

Bryant is the second player to commit to Tommy Lloyd in the class of 2024, joining four-star shooting guard Jamari Phillips<\/a><\/strong> (No. 36), who just so happens to be his AAU teammate.<\/p>\n

According to the On3 Industry Ranking<\/a>, Bryant ranks as the No. 20 overall prospect in the country. The On3 Consensus is the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3).\u00a0He\u2019s also the nation\u2019s No. 8 small forward and the No. 3 player in the state of California.<\/p>\n

Bryant goes in-depth on his commitment to Arizona<\/h2>\n

\u201cI chose Arizona because it was a perfect situation for me as a player,\u201d Bryant said to On3. \u201cTo play for a coaching staff of that experience and prestige that believes in me as a young man and player is a beautiful thing. Coach Lloyd\u2019s system allows me to play for a program that pushes the pace and allows players one through five to make decisions. Coach (Jack) Murphy also did a wonderful job at recruiting not just me but my family and allowing me to be apart of his family and feel at home. The culture that has been built by the best fan base in the country is something that\u2019s very hard to turn down as a player.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Zona fans can expect<\/h2>\n

\u201cArizona is getting a player that wants to get better and wants to continue the winning history that they have and God willing, bring the school another National Championship,\u201d said Bryant. \u201cAlong with a young man that wants to contribute in community that supports our school.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryant has a final message to the Wildcat faithful.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m blessed to be in this position and I\u2019m ready to put on that Arizona jersey and get to work!\u201d<\/p>\n

Scouting Report<\/h2>\n

\u201cCarter Bryant has a lengthy frame, very projectable. He plays with a bounce to his step and some pop. He plays his best in transition. He plays with good balance in straight lines. He is explosive around the basket. A solid rebounder in the 6-foot-8 range, he can go out of his area to secure possessions. Bryant can face up and play off two and three dribbles in the half-court. He gets to the rim with long strides and explodes with a burst. Did not see a jump shot; he preferred to get toward the rim. Would like to see him develop his counter-dribbles when his path gets cut off. There is an upside on the defensive end of the floor. He is twitchy with a great frame. Once he gets his footwork and angles down, he has the fluidity and the lateral ability to guard the ball. He also has the length to get in the passing lanes. Bryant is still raw, but there is an intrigue with his athleticism, frame, and size, and his confidence continues to grow.\u201d \u2013 On3\u2019s Jamie Shaw<\/p>\n
