Javon Bullard<\/a><\/strong> knows Georgia<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will have a target on their back in 2023, and whichever quarterback they ride with will go a long way to determining their success.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs defensive back has kept a keen eye on both potential Georgia starting quarterbacks in Carson Beck<\/a><\/strong> and Brock Vandagriff<\/a><\/strong>. As the battle rages on, Bullard elaborated on his excitement watching the battle play out, but made are to point out the respect and confidence he has in both throwers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like both of them. I feel like both of them can help our team,\u201d explained Bullard<\/a>. \u201cTwo different style quarterbacks. You know, I just feel like (Georgia offensive coordinator) [Mike] Bobo\u2019s going to put the best guy on the field in the best situations. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo excited to see those guys battle, but like I said, both of those guys can help our team win and take our team to the next level.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for watching how both Beck and Vandagriff have grown over their time at Georgia, Bullard was especially smitten with the way he\u2019s watching the latter improve.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth of them, I can\u2019t really speak to Carson because I wasn\u2019t here when he came in, but as far as like Brock, me and Brock came in together, and over the years, it\u2019s amazing just know that he\u2019s dialed in,\u201d added Bullard<\/a>. \u201cBrock\u2019s one of those guys that\u2019s the first one in the meeting room and the last to leave, so just knowing that his mindset is set on us becoming a better team, I know we\u2019re in good hands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Georgia hasn\u2019t made a decision on which quarterback they\u2019ll rock with in 2023, but Bullard will be ready and roaring to go either way. While the position battle continues on offense, the Georgia defensive back is learning a new position himself, as well.<\/p>\n

Bullard is moving from cornerback to safety in 2023, and he\u2019s having a good time learning the ins and outs of his new position thus far.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has definitely been fun,\u201d\u00a0Bullard said after Georgia\u2019s G-Day game, via Dawgs HW.<\/a> \u201cFootball is going to be football. I still play defensive back. It\u2019s not like I moved to receiver or anything like that. I love it, man. The coaches brought me in and told me they were thinking about a position change. Like I said, it was definitely a challenge because you\u2019re going into another world as far as safety. Safety is basically another linebacker.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got to know because there\u2019s so many checks in our defense but I feel like it was amazing, man. Just dialing in and the coaches helping me and really just taking that ownership and doing what I can to make the team better.\u201d<\/p>\n

It should be another fun season for Georgia and Javon Bullard in 2023. The Bulldogs will continue to be the team to beat, regardless of their quarterback.<\/p>\n
