Braylon Edwards<\/a><\/strong> went scorched Earth on Ohio State<\/strong><\/a> and the future of the Buckeyes program when it comes to recruits.<\/p>\n

The former Michigan<\/strong><\/a> star and NFL wide receiver didn\u2019t hold back about the turning of the tide between Ohio State and rival Michigan. With the Wolverines victorious in the last two meetings, many questioned if Ohio State could regain its dominant top position in the Big Ten.<\/p>\n

Edwards put that to rest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re a team that can\u2019t beat Michigan,\u201d Edwards said on the Morning Woodward Show<\/em>.<\/a> \u201cEven in the first half they struggled to beat Michigan, they struggled in the trenches. Michigan and Jim Harbaugh have built this team in the trenches, lineman on the offensive side, two years in a row. They\u2019ve won that award two years in a row. On the opposite side. You look at the defensive line, two years in a row, you\u2019ve had studs, they destroy Ohio State and now this is where I say it\u2019s over.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not just that Michigan is beating Ohio State. They\u2019re having their way with Ohio State. It\u2019s not even interesting in the second half, if you will anymore, especially the fourth quarter. The (Ohio State) kids seem like they\u2019re just trying to get basically to the NFL.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Edwards chalked up Ohio State to a school just for quarterbacks and wide receivers, but even that is starting to dwindle based on who\u2019s going to the draft this year and next year. At least, in his mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd look at it this way,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cFor Ohio State to be Wide Receiver U, I mean you\u2019re talking about, look at who\u2019s there now. You got the best two receivers in the country right now. You got Marvin Harrison Jr.<\/a><\/strong> and Emeka Egbuka<\/a><\/strong>. Chris Olave<\/a><\/strong>, Garrett Wilson<\/a><\/strong>, Jaxon-Smith-Njigba<\/a><\/strong> \u2026 So why if I\u2019m one of the best quarterbacks in the country, why would I choose a school that hasn\u2019t had a 1000 yard receiver? Why would I choose to receive a place that doesn\u2019t throw the ball like that? Why would I choose that place over Ohio State?\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI can easily be a Dwayne Haskins<\/a><\/strong> or C.J. Stroud<\/a><\/strong>. Or Justin Fields and fall in line it\u2019s because that program\u2019s not as good as that program in Ann Arbor. And I know that.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then, came the big blow from Edwards to his former rival as a player.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuess what? There\u2019s shortening and shortening and shortening and shortening,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cYou Parris Johnson, you got a couple of receivers this year. Ohio State isis shortening and shortening. They used to have three DBs in the first round, a few linemen, you had a couple of Bosa brothers or Chase Young\u2019s, you\u2019re not having that anymore. That program is falling apart and recruits can see it.\u201d<\/p>\n
