It’s the fourth version of his top-50 rankings and a familiar name to USC fans remains the No. 1 wide receiver in his rankings. That spot belongs to Jordan Addison, who did drop four spots between Jeremiah’s Version 3.0 and 4.0 rankings. But Addison is still ranked No. 13 overall and the No. 1 wideout.

Here’s what Jeremiah said about the former Trojan in his breakdown:

Addison has average height and a narrow frame for the position. He lines up outside and in the slot. He is a very smooth, polished route runner, routinely changing tempo and efficiently getting in/out of the break point. Addison has excellent play speed and can find another gear when the ball is in the air. He has natural hands and doesn’t need to gather himself before catching the ball on crossers. He can high point the ball when working back to the QB, but has to get stronger on 50/50 balls. After the catch, he has excellent burst and wiggle. Overall, Addison should become a high-volume pass catcher very early in his pro career.

Addison in Mock Drafts

Addison has been consistently placed in the first round in virtually every mock draft this offseason. Though he doesn’t always come in as the No. 1 wide receiver. Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba and TCU’s Quentin Johnson are in that mix. And Zay Flowers from Boston College has been a big riser during the draft process.

Jeremiah placed Smith-Njigba at No. 19 overall. That’s up four spots in this edition of his rankings. Flowers came in at No. 22, a rise of two spots. Johnson dropped one spot to No. 30. And Tennessee’s Jalin Hyatt is the fifth wide receiver in his rankings, at No. 40 overall.

Serious speed concerns popped up about Addison when he clocked an unofficial 4.55-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He alleviated some of those when he ran again and finished with a 4.49-second official time. And any doubts are erased pretty completely when the game film comes on.

Addison will head to the NFL as a Biletnikoff Award winner and possibly the best route-runner in this draft class. Plenty was made of the dip in his production after transferring to USC from Pitt. But Addison still led the Trojans with 59 receptions for 875 yards and eight touchdowns despite missing three full games and significant parts of two more.

Tuli Tuipulotu Drops Out

USC defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu was the only player to drop out of this version of Jeremiah’s rankings. He was at No. 46 in the previous edition. Tuipulotu led the nation in sacks last season but is seen as something of a ‘tweener along the defensive line. He’s embracing the versatility he provides and says teams like that he can play both inside and outside. Tuipulotu looks like a Day 2 pick at this point. What’s certain is that an NFL team will be arguably getting the hardest worker in the draft and a player capable of making an impact.

The post Jordan Addison Still WR1 for NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah appeared first on On3.

NFL Network expert Daniel Jeremiah released his top-50 rankings for the 2023 NFL Draft on…

[1

post-2074","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
