Notre Dame will welcome yet another 2024 target to South Bend for the Blue-Gold Game on April 22.\u00a0 On Monday, four-star offensive lineman Grant Brix<\/a><\/strong> told Blue & Gold<\/a><\/strong> he will check out the Irish for the first time on the day of the annual intrasquad spring game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Brix is the seventh 2024 target Blue & Gold<\/a><\/strong> has confirmed will be in South Bend on April 22. Notre Dame also expects to host safety Davis Andrews<\/a><\/strong>, linebackers Chris Cole<\/a><\/strong> and Brian Huff<\/a><\/strong>, offensive tackle Guerby Lambert<\/a><\/strong>, defensive lineman TJ Lindsey<\/a><\/strong> and EDGE Mylachi Williams<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Irish will also welcome at least five 2025 targets to campus: wide receivers Jerome Bettis Jr<\/a><\/strong>., Taz Williams Jr.<\/a><\/strong>, defensive lineman Davion Dixon<\/a><\/strong> and linebackers Kelvion Riggins<\/a><\/strong> and Anthony Speca<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Notre Dame offered Brix<\/a><\/strong>, a junior out of Logan (Iowa) Senior High, on Feb. 1. Former offensive line coach Harry Hiestand<\/a><\/strong> extended the scholarship offer after seeing Brix at his high school during the January recruiting contact period.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since then, Hiestand announced his retirement on Feb. 12<\/a><\/strong>, and the Irish hired Virginia Tech offensive line coach Joe Rudolph<\/a><\/strong> to replace him on March 7. Rudolph did not offer Brix at Virginia Tech, which makes his visit to Notre Dame more important. His connection with the coaching staff will be a part of his college decision-making process.<\/p>\n

\u201cMainly, clicking with my teammates \u2014 those are the people who you\u2019ll be working with every day and will push you,\u201d Brix told Blue & Gold on Feb. 22<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cCoaches are a big part, too, and getting a good degree.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brix one of the top offensive lineman in 2024<\/h2>\n

Brix reports 21 Power Five scholarship offers and unofficial visits to Kansas State (5), Nebraska (4), Iowa State (3), Iowa (2), Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas, Northwestern and Michigan State. He also plans to visit Penn State for the first time and return to Iowa State and Minnesota.<\/p>\n

On3 ranks Brix as the No. 127 overall player, No. 4 interior offensive lineman and No. 1 player in Iowa.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The On3 Industry Ranking \u2014 a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services \u2014 evaluates Brix as the No. 212 overall player, No. 14 interior offensive lineman and No. 1 player in Iowa.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Notre Dame already has two offensive linemen committed in 2024, which features three-star offensive guard Peter Jones<\/a><\/strong> and three-star offensive tackle Anthonie Knapp<\/a><\/strong>. Currently, the Irish are looking to add at least one more offensive lineman in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n
