Auburn seemed to knock it out of the park with several of its visitors over Georgia weekend. With one visitor, in particular, the Tigers really made a lasting impression\u2013and they were in good shape going into the weekend. I have joined Auburn Live\u2019s Jeffrey Lee with an RPM prediction to Auburn for Favour Edwin<\/a><\/strong>, a 3-star offensive tackle from McDonough (Ga.) Eagles Landing Christian.<\/p>\n

Edwin, a 6-foot-8 290 pound offensive tackle, impressed coaches at Auburn during his official visit. Edwin had glowing reviews. As of right now, it seems the main threat to Auburn is Clemson, who Edwin will officially visit in November.<\/p>\n

According to our intel, Auburn is the team to beat and is in a great position as he plans to take a break from visits in October.<\/p>\n

\u2018They love the team\u2019<\/h2>\n

The Auburn fans may have been the standout factor for Edwin over the weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fans, the atmosphere,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cThey love the team, that is all you need. 90,000 every week, what else do you need? That is all you need. They have a good culture, good support staff.\u201d<\/p>\n

The game was his favorite part of the trip, by far.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yeah, definitely the game in general, I mean they played Georgia, the No. 1 team in the nation,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cThey almost beat them, so I think that is good. It just shows the growth of the team and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hugh Freeze and Jake Thornton showed Edwin what he would be capable of under their guidance at Auburn.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are amazing, they showed me the blueprint of how they develop guys and put guys in the league,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cI think for me that is good. Coach Freeze, he has had\u00a0Laremy Tunsil<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0at left tackle, and others like that. Just seeing what they could do for me is huge for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Edwin knows that Auburn has to work with transfers on the offensive line for now, but he sees a plan for him if he were to choose the Tigers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yeah, definitely,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cThey\u2019re playing a lot of transfers this year and probably will next year, but it just shows you that they need someone like me that can come in 2-3 years and be a player for them and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Edwin was blown away by the experience as a whole.<\/p>\n

\u201cAuburn is up there,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cIt\u2019s everything in one. Auburn is up there, I mean look around, it is amazing. What else could you ask for? The family atmosphere around the campus is just everything you want. I think that is amazing for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who else is in the mix?<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, I am looking at Clemson, and I will be there for an official visit,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cI\u2019m going to decide after the Clemson official visit. Whenever I go, I think November 10-12, so I think I might decide after that. Right now it is up there. Clemson, Auburn are up there for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Tide are also working to stay in the mix.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlabama is up there, too, it is a great program so it is going to be up there for everybody,\u201d Edwin said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Edwin may not take many visits in the month of October.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to look at my schedule,\u201d Edwin said. May take the month of October off because I have traveled a lot this month. I just want to focus on my schoolwork and getting better. I haven\u2019t been to my trainer in two weeks, I just want to get back and focus on the team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, if Auburn has a home game, Edwin says he will have a hard time staying away.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh definitely I will be back,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cI\u2019m going to go to the Iron Bowl, I might be back for all the home games\u2013Yeah, it\u2019s amazing out there. It\u2019s something you love to see. I will be back for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Close with Colton Hood<\/h2>\n

Auburn freshman defensive back Colton Hood came from Edwin\u2019s school, but he meant much more to Edwin than just being a classmate and teammate.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s my boy, he got me playing football,\u201d Edwin said. \u201cWhen I saw him, he was like a big brother to me. He\u2019s just one of those guys you just love to be around. He was a leader on the team and you can see he has a bright future here for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

What does having Hood\u2019s presence at Auburn do for the Tigers\u2019 chances?<\/p>\n

\u201cIt does a lot, when I come in December, when I\u2019m going through anything, I\u2019ll have someone I can fall back to because I have known him from high school and he will be there for me. He has been telling me how great of a place it is. Since I got the offer he has been wanting me to come over. Colton ain\u2019t going to lie to me because we are really close. We are really close outside from the football aspect.\u201d<\/p>\n
