No. 1<\/a> Georgia<\/a><\/strong> is still No. 1 Georgia<\/a> in a lot of ways. Still, through the Bulldog\u2019s 5-0 start, DawgsHQ\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Jake Rowe<\/a> has seen some issues that the nation\u2019s top team<\/a> must clean up ahead of the back half of their schedule.<\/p>\n

Rowe spoke about his view on Georgia\u2019s year so far during an appearance on \u2018Andy Staples On3\u2019<\/a> on Sunday. To him, most of their problems currently stem from a new, younger roster. It\u2019s also because they\u2019re still battling some early injury matters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s complacency,\u201d explained Rowe. \u201cI think it\u2019s youth combined with some injuries. They\u2019ve just had a hard time kind of finding continuity throughout this season, throughout the preseason.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re starting to get healthy. But they\u2019re starting to get healthy with guys who haven\u2019t done a whole lot, whether it\u2019s they haven\u2019t done a whole lot in their career or they haven\u2019t done a whole lot lately in terms of practice, in terms of getting integrated into this team,\u201d Rowe added.<\/p>\n

Whatever the questions may be, some are going to need answers here soon. Georgia has struggled early in their first two real matchups<\/a>, a pair of wins over South Carolina<\/a><\/strong> and Auburn<\/a><\/strong>. With that being the case, Rowe wants to see more out of them before some other challenging opponents come up on the slate as early as next weekend<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe schedule is going to get tougher, though. All of a sudden, this schedule that wasn\u2019t very good? And, honestly, I still don\u2019t know how great it is. But Kentucky<\/a><\/strong> is going to be ranked<\/a>, Missouri<\/a><\/strong> is going to be ranked. Ole Miss<\/a><\/strong> got a big win<\/a> last night,\u201d Rowe counted off. \u201cFlorida<\/a><\/strong>? That was a poor showing<\/a> yesterday. But Tennessee<\/a><\/strong> seems to be finding a little something<\/a> after that loss to Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of a sudden? The schedule looks, with the way Georgia is playing, like, \u2018Hey, if you run this table? That\u2019s going to be incredible,’\u201d said Rowe. \u201cIf you get out of it with less than two losses? That\u2019ll actually be pretty good with the way you\u2019re playing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through an undefeated start, Georgia has posted both a Top-15 offense and a Top-15 defense. That\u2019s nothing to complain too much about considering all things.<\/p>\n

Still, with what\u2019s left on their schedule, Rowe wants to see the \u2018Dawgs take the next step and get back to dominating teams in their own fashion like they have in recent years.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a weird team right now, Andy. I have a lot of confidence in them finding a way to win ball games. I have a lot of confidence in them not melting down, going away, or going down their leg or anything like that,\u201d Rowe said. \u201cBut I don\u2019t have any confidence in them just kind of grabbing a team up and saying, \u2018Alright! This is what I want and I\u2019m going to make you do it.’\u201d<\/p>\n
