Miami<\/a><\/strong> fully capitalized on IMG Academy 2024 five-star defensive lineman David Stone\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> second visit to Coral Gables<\/a><\/strong> this weekend, this time accompanied by his parents and younger brother.<\/p>\n

Stone told CaneSport<\/em><\/strong> he wants to take an official visit to Miami this summer and said \u201cWe\u2019re definitely going to make it happen.\u201d Oklahoma<\/strong> and Michigan State<\/a><\/strong> are also firmly in the mix for the No. 15 overall recruit in the On3 Industry Ranking, but the Hurricanes are in excellent standing following Stone\u2019s two visits on consecutive weekends.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s definitely a school I could see myself coming to,\u201d Stone said.<\/p>\n

He also said he wanted to visit Miami this past weekend so his family could check out the vibes in Coral Gables.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy family seemed to enjoy the visit a lot,\u201d Stone said. \u201cMy mom, she feels like she could live down here and be comfortable with me coming here too. My little brother seemed to enjoy it. He\u2019s always throwing up the \u2018U\u2019 now. It\u2019s kind of funny. I feel like we had a pretty good time and they got to see what needed to be seen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stone\u2019s family will play a significant factor in his recruitment, and the Canes impressed both of his parents this weekend. His mother was impressed by Miami\u2019s campus and the school\u2019s academic reputation; his dad was impressed by the coaching staff and the intensity of the Hurricanes\u2019<\/strong> scrimmage Saturday morning. Head coach Mario Cristobal<\/a><\/strong> and defensive line coach Joe Salave\u2019a<\/a><\/strong> both impressed Stone\u2019s father with their football knowledge the same way they\u2019ve impressed Stone throughout his recruitment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe similarities (between last visit and this visit) were the impressions people made on me,\u201d Stone said. \u201cI feel like it was the same. Nothing changed. It was positive as well. Some of the differences were the things that we did. (Friday) was run a little bit different than when I was here last week. I got to go through everything just for a different perspective. My parents, I just got to watch and see how they took in the information I took last week. I feel like I gained a lot more knowledge about the school.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stone loved the way Miami used his former teammates like Francis Mauigoa<\/a><\/strong>, Riley Williams<\/a><\/strong> and Jayden Wayne<\/a><\/strong>, and he thinks he could play a serious role in Coral Gables. <\/p>\n

He wants to commit either this summer or some time during the season.<\/p>\n

Latest intel on Miami 2024, 2025 prospects<\/h2>\n

Ca\u2019Lil Valentine<\/a><\/strong>, 2024 4-star RB, Chandler (Ariz.) | No. 246 On300 recruit, No. 18 RB, No. 6 Ariz. recruit<\/p>\n

Valentine is receiving weekly contact from Miami\u2019s coaching staff and has real interest in the Canes. He said he \u201cloved\u201d his trip to Coral Gables, and asked why he wanted to take an unofficial visit, he simply said, \u201cIt\u2019s Miami.\u201d He\u2019s high on Cristobal and running backs coach Tim Harris Jr. and firmly believes in the Canes\u2019 coaching staff, although the staff isn\u2019t pressuring him. Miami is telling him to go where he feels wanted, and he said he\u2019s feeling wanted in Coral Gables. <\/p>\n

Simeon Coleman<\/a><\/strong>, 2024 3-star LB, Hyattsville (Md.) St. Frances Academy | No. 940 On3 Industry Ranking recruit, No. 143 LB, No. 34 Md. recruit<\/p>\n

Coleman is maintaining interest in the Hurricanes after an encouraging weekend trip. He said he doesn\u2019t feel like the visit could have gone better, and Miami impressed the three-star with its campus and facilities. He had in-person interactions with Cristobal and feels Miami is \u201con the rise, and soon it will be back to its old self.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dylan Day<\/a><\/strong>, CB, Baton Rouge (La.) Southern University Lab School | Unranked prospect<\/p>\n

Day was one of the first prospects to receive a Miami offer from Lance Guidry<\/a><\/strong> following his hiring in April, and his conversations with Guidry and secondary coach Jahmile Addae<\/a><\/strong> stood out from this weekend. He\u2019s remaining high on the Canes and felt like the staff has been real and honest with him. We listed Day as one of our under-the-radar prospects to watch<\/a><\/strong> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Bryce Fitzgerald<\/a><\/strong>, 2025 3-star S, Miami (Fla.) Belen Jesuit Prep | No. 288 On300 recruit, No. 21 S, No. 42 Fla. recruit<\/p>\n

Fitzgerald feels \u201camazing\u201d about Miami and said \u201cit feels like a dream come true visiting there.\u201d He said he\u2019s been treated like a Hurricane player each time he\u2019s visited Miami, and he wants to return to Coral Gables with his parents Tuesday. He could easily turn into a prospect for Hurricane fans to watch in the 2025 class.<\/p>\n

Tyler Parker<\/a><\/strong>, 2025 DL, Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Crean Lutheran | Unranked prospect<\/p>\n

Parker was not listed in the initial 2025 On300 rankings but has already picked up more than a dozen offers from programs like Miami, Notre Dame and Colorado. The Canes are high on his radar early on, and he felt like a priority on his weekend visit. Cristobal, Salave\u2019a and the rest of Miami\u2019s staff wowed him, and he wants to return to Miami for another visit.<\/p>\n
