Even after a shellacking at the hands of Pac-12 rival Oregon, Colorado is still the talk of the football recruiting world. The Buffaloes welcome USC to town this weekend, and they\u2019ll have some major visitors in Boulder to watch. <\/p>\n
The latest is four-star River Rouge (Mich.) wide receiver and Michigan State commit Nick Marsh<\/a><\/strong>, according to a report from Allen Trieu of 247Sports.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n Marsh joins Texas A&M five-star receiver commit Cam Coleman<\/a><\/strong> on the Buffs\u2019 visitor list for the weekend, which at one time also included uncommitted five-star Ryan Wingo<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n The news of Marsh\u2019s visit comes on the heels of the Spartans firing head coach Mel Tucker on Wednesday, creating an opportunity for other programs to jump in the mix of his recruitment. <\/p>\n Shortly after Michigan State\u00a0announced its plans to terminate Tucker<\/a>\u00a0amidst a Title IX investigation last week, Colorado reached out to the Spartans commit with an offer.<\/p>\n Marsh re-committed to Michigan State back in early July following a decommitment in March. He told On3\u2019s Chad Simmons that his family played a significant role in his decision to rejoin the Spartans\u2019 class.<\/p>\n \u201cFamily played a lot,\u201d\u00a0Marsh said<\/a>. \u201cI would love for my family to be able to travel close by and will love having them come and see the games and be able to support me. I seek their guidance a lot. They pointed out a few things that I may have missed. My family played a big part in it. Hearing their thoughts played a big role.\u201d<\/p>\n Now, with the coaching staff at MSU in limbo, the Spartans entire recruiting class will have to make some difficult decisions before signing day this winter.<\/p>\n Four-star safety Reggie Powers<\/a><\/strong> has already announced his decommitment, and more is likely on the way as other teams look to poach the Spartans\u2019 top commits with the coaching situation in flux. <\/p>\n Colorado ranks No. 61 in the\u00a02024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings<\/a>, but has been making plenty of noise lately with visits from elite prospects around the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n Five-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive tackle\u00a0Jordan Seaton<\/a><\/strong>, Birmingham (Ala.) four-star Alabama defensive line commit\u00a0Jeremiah Beaman<\/a><\/strong>, Chattanooga (Tenn.) Bradley Central four-star Tennessee commit\u00a0Boo Carter<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and Belleville (Mich.) 2025 Five-Star Plus+ quarterback\u00a0Bryce Underwood<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0were just some of the big names to visit Boulder recently.<\/p>\n Beaman\u2019s trip to Boulder went so well, that he is\u00a0now planning an official visit<\/a>\u00a0with Colorado later this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n If Marsh were to end up joining this Buffaloes class, he would be the second-highest-ranked recruit in the group. Calabasas (Calif.) four-star athlete\u00a0Aaron Butler<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0committed to Colorado back in May and headlines the class.
