Deion Sanders<\/a><\/strong> wants not only his players to get back on the horse, but his Colorado<\/strong><\/a> coaches to respond after the blowout loss to Oregon<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Losing 42-6 was eye opening for the program. After a 3-0 start, the Buffaloes were shallacked on the road in Eugene.<\/p>\n

But now, Sanders is putting it in his and the staff\u2019s hands to get it right with USC<\/strong><\/a> on deck.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to see the coaches respond first,\u201d Sanders said<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s the thing. I know that leaders are handling a lot, but I want to see how the coaches respond first and the coaches, they have been responding they\u2019ve taken it upon themselves as making the necessary changes. <\/p>\n

\u201cScheming a little differently because you got to understand that there are four games of film on us right now to really predicate what we\u2019re going to do and where we are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deion said the scouting report was \u201ctremendous\u201d this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat opened a lot of eyes, I think the theme of the scouting report, what was it, what was the Scripture,\u201d Sanders said. \u201cYeah, it\u2019s the truth that shall set you free. And we wanted to really give them the truth about some matters going on around here. So prayerfully they\u2019d be free to do and they\u2019re capable of doing a tremendous job.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the way USC plays, this could be a shootout when Colorado plays host Saturday.<\/p>\n

Through four games, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders<\/a><\/strong> has 1,410 yards, 11 touchdowns, 1 interception and a 76.9% completion percentage.<\/p>\n

On the flip side, reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams<\/a><\/strong> has 1,200 yards, 15 touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 74.3% completion percentage.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no trash talk, at least yet, just respect between the two coaches. Lincoln Riley was really impressed<\/a> with Sanders and his coaches.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, he\u2019s playing really well,\u201d Riley said of Shedeur Sanders to start on Trojans Live.<\/a> \u201cYou know, he\u2019s a really good player. They\u2019ve done a nice job with their scheme, they\u2019ve done a nice job surrounding him with some really good weapons and he\u2019s really just a terrific distributor, you know, and that gets those skill guys the ball and they do it in a lot of very efficient and creative ways. And so he\u2019s largely played very, very well this season.\u201d<\/p>\n

The work of Deion Sanders is hard to ignore. The Buffaloes went 1-11 last season and are already 3-1 through four games in 2023. Plus, Colorado was ranked No. 19 going into Week 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe improvement\u2019s drastic, you know, you got to give their staff a lot of credit,\u201d Riley said. \u201cYou got to give all the different players that came in there a lot of credit. We kind of know how that feels. Right?\u201d<\/p>\n
