It\u2019s no secret that the recruitment of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton<\/a><\/strong> remains wide open. After announcing his tour of fall visits, then re-working that schedule, plenty of programs still feel like they have a shot to land the 6-foot-5, 295-pounder.<\/p>\n

So far, he\u2019s made unofficial trips to Alabama<\/a><\/strong> and Colorado<\/a><\/strong> this season. He\u2019s scheduled to make his way to Norman for an official visit with Oklahoma<\/a><\/strong> this weekend, followed by an OV to Florida<\/a><\/strong> to kick off October. <\/p>\n

That in-state trip to Gainesville to watch the Gators take on Vanderbilt will be just his second, following an unofficial back in May. Florida has been a consistent factor in the recruitment of Seaton and currently has the third-best odds for the tackle, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Gators Online recruiting insider Corey Bender joined The Inside Scoop<\/a><\/strong> to dish on just how in the mix Florida is for the No. 2 OT in the 2024 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking<\/a><\/strong>. Seaton staying in the Sunshine State isn\u2019t out of the realm of possibility. <\/p>\n

Upcoming visit gives Florida chance to make real impression<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cAs we all know, his recruitment\u2019s kind of been all over the place in recent months. He\u2019s going to take numerous official visits. Oklahoma\u2019s in the mix, you\u2019ve got South Carolina<\/a><\/strong> \u2014 who I believe gets the last OV,\u201d Bender said.<\/p>\n

Florida has always been mentioned in Seaton\u2019s recruitment, but has never been touted as \u201cthe team to beat.\u201d It can change that with a positive visit. Bender was quick to point out the fact that Florida is steering away from its normal official visit schedule with recruits, because Seaton is that prized and could make a major difference for any recruiting class.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo show how much of a priority he is for Florida, they don\u2019t like hosting in-season official visitors, they like to do them all in June and December\u2026not for Jordan Seaton, they\u2019re gonna make it work,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Ohio State<\/a><\/strong> has the On3 RPM lead for Seaton, while Alabama also checks in ahead of the Gators. Seaton tabbed the Crimson Tide as an early leader<\/a><\/strong> in an interview with On3\u2019s Josh Newberg at the beginning of September, but also isn\u2019t planning on rushing to a commitment. <\/p>\n

\u201cCoach Rob Sale, he calls the plays. He\u2019s the O-Line coach, he knows the ins and outs. He\u2019s got help from coach (Darnell) Stapleton. Coach Billy Napier \u2014\u00a0he\u2019s a hands-on guy. I love his energy, I love his passion,\u201d Seaton said of the Florida coaching staff. \u201cAnd I love that they don\u2019t really try to recruit, they try to make it as family-oriented as possible. Their background, they\u2019re coming from Louisiana so they do know how to develop guys. So getting a guy of my caliber at a school like that, it could be very scary.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFlorida right now, I think they\u2019re probably a top two or top three option for (Seaton,)\u201d Bender said. \u201cI think Florida will definitely come out and make a statement in this game knowing Seaton\u2019s there \u2026 he\u2019ll be the lone official visitor too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seaton has an On3 NIL Valuation of $179K<\/a><\/strong>. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry\u2019s leading index that sets high school and college athletes\u2019 projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete\u2019s value at a certain moment in time.<\/p>\n
