Tennessee football coordinators Joey Halzle<\/a> and Tim Banks met with the media Tuesday morning<\/a> to review the team\u2019s performance in the Florida loss and to look ahead to the UTSA showcase this weekend.<\/p>\n

Offensively, Halzle seems pleased with how quarterback Joe Milton is playing but knows the group as a whole as some steps it still needs to take.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoe was really good. His decision making, his calmness on the sidelines. He kept the calm within the storm out there, talking to him on the headset, the Tennessee coordinator said of his signal-caller. \u201cMan, he was after every single drive, he was like, all right, cool, like, move on. What we got to coming next? So the guy\u2019s really even keeled, his decision-making is really good, was accurate with the football. The guy played a good game, was happy with that. Obviously we can always be better. We can be pushing for our communication, for how we all get on the same page in an environment like that when it\u2019s harder to hear and it\u2019s not the friendly confines. So that\u2019s where we can keep pushing to grow. But his overall game management was very good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Defensively, Banks knows his Tennessee defense missed way too many tackles in the Florida loss and is eager to try and correct those as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue to try to eliminate (missed tackles), obviously. What kind of tackles are you missing? Is it not wrapping up? Was it not bringing your feet? Because we\u2019re going to practice tackling whether we tackled at a 100 percent clip or obviously a night like we had Saturday night,\u201d Banks said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to always try to emphasize tackling, but what kind of tackles showed up? We obviously had some open-field miss tackles that we need to be get addressed, so we try to put them in those game-like situations best we can. Obviously, we\u2019re not taking guys to the ground (in practice), but as far as our footwork goes, our pad level, where our eyes are, we try to make sure we\u2019re emphasizing those particular tactics.\u201d<\/p>\n
