Deion Sanders<\/a><\/strong> believes he\u2019s right where he was meant to be in Boulder, coaching the\u00a0Colorado Buffaloes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

ESPN took a multitude of talent to town this weekend to cover Sanders\u2019 team, ahead of their highly-anticipated showdown with Colorado State<\/strong>. Ahead of the game, Sanders sat down with Stephen A. Smith and Shannan Sharpe on First Take<\/em>, where he was asked how coaching Colorado compares to his previous jobs, including his coaching career, playing career and time as a broadcaster.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am where I\u2019m supposed to be,\u201d said Sanders. \u201cGod has called me right to this place. To this time. To this era. To this state. To this city. I\u2019m in my zone. I\u2019m in my thing. I\u2019ve got my rhythm. What I said in the press conference and I was feeling it, like I\u2019m about to get comfortable baby. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t want me to get comfortable. That\u2019s really how I feel. I\u2019m in my purpose, and I absolutely love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alas, it certainly seems as if Sanders is where he\u2019s meant to be at the moment. He\u2019s already flipped the Buffaloes into a desirable program, and looks to be building something special with Colorado.<\/p>\n

How long it\u2019ll last remains the question on everyone\u2019s mind, but there isn\u2019t anyone betting against Deion Sanders moving forward, unless they want to be proven wrong.<\/p>\n

Shedeur Sanders on opposing coaches criticizing Colorado, Deion Sanders: \u2018You gotta be a fool to do that\u2019<\/h2>\n

Continuing, Shedeur Sanders<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0doesn\u2019t understand why opposing coaches keep giving\u00a0Deion Sanders<\/a><\/strong> and\u00a0Colorado<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0added motivation.<\/p>\n

That latest to do so was\u00a0Jay Norvell<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Colorado State<\/strong>, who talked about doing promos for ESPN this week on his\u00a0radio show Wednesday<\/a>\u00a0and said, \u201cI told them, \u2018I took my hat off, and I took my glasses off.\u2019 And I said, \u2018When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off.\u2019 That\u2019s what my mother taught me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, it was a dig at the Buffaloes head coach, who responded by explaining\u00a0the comments were \u201cpersonal,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and his players believe so as well. His son and quarterback, the aforementioned Shedeur Sanders, explained why he was baffled by the comments during an appearance on ESPN\u2019s\u00a0First Take<\/em>\u00a0on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, at first you know, I\u2019m not really on social media during the week, so then I find out (through) word of mouth, and somebody showed me the video, and it\u2019s like, you\u2019ve got to be a fool to do that,\u201d Sanders said. \u201cYou\u2019ve got to be a fool to do that. You\u2019ve got his son playing quarterback, and his other son playing safety. So it\u2019s like, come on now. You\u2019re asking for it. \u2026 It\u2019s just extra motivation. That\u2019s what it is.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the week, we have a great approach to the game, but then when you make it overly personal, like we respect the team. We respect the opposing players. But now, when you make it that, it\u2019s all respect gone. It is what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alas, Shedeur Sanders has treated every game like it was personal, and he\u2019s lighting up opponents thus far in 2023, and leading the Heisman race. With some added motivation from Colorado State, it could be a bloodbath when it\u2019s all said and done.<\/p>\n
