One of the top targets in the 2025 cycle for the Texas Longhorns is scheduled to be in Austin Saturday night for the Wyoming game.<\/p>\n
Five-star and LSU verbal Dakorien Moore<\/a> told Inside Texas Wednesday at 1:58pm central that he is scheduled to be at the Wyoming-Texas game Saturday night. <\/p>\n The 5-foot-11.5, 180-pound jet with smoothness and elite playmaking committed to LSU August 12 over Texas. USC was a third school considered to be in the mix with Oklahoma and Texas A&M on the peripheral. <\/p>\n Moore, the No. 9 ranked prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking in the 2025 cycle, has continued to be in contact with members of the Texas staff since his commitment to the Tigers. Texas head Steve Sarkisian<\/strong>, wide receivers coach Chris Jackson<\/strong> and area recruiter Jeff Banks<\/strong> have continued to talk to Moore and people in his circle since committing. <\/p>\n The junior that also excels on the track comes from a family with ties to Austin and The University of Texas. His mom is from Austin, and still has a lot of family around the city. <\/p>\n The DFW area star caught 15 passes for 366 yards and five touchdowns as a freshman for 6A Duncanville in 2021. He followed up the freshman season with an eye-opening sophomore campaign. He hauled in 44 passes for 764 yards and six scores for the 6A-DI State Champions. <\/p>\n Skilled receiver with a well-rounded skill set who stars for one of the tip high school programs in the state of Texas. Measured at around 5-foot-10.5, 175 pounds prior to his junior season. Tests as a good athlete, running an electronically-timed 4.56 40-yard dash and 4.31 second short shuttle. Backs up the speed on the track, running a wind-aided 10.63 mark in the 100 meters as a sophomore. Shows a refined and well-rounded skill set as a receiver both on Friday nights and in the camp setting. <\/p>\n Has the long speed to separate deep and take the top off of defenses. Shifty after the catch and uses his field vision to find open space, sometimes cutting back across the field. Looks to have plus ball skills, with the ability to make acrobatic catches. Shows reliable, strong hands at the catch point in the camp setting. Turned in a good sophomore season for the Texas state champions, catching 44 passes for 767 yards and seven touchdowns.<\/p>\n Moore is ranked No. 9 overall in the 2025 cycle.
