He\u2019s hoping to visit Manhattan this month. <\/p>\n Perhaps the Wildcats can make something happen there, but the Hawkeyes are playing defense. They just offered one of Godfrey\u2019s teammates. <\/p>\n Is that the only prospect committed elsewhere that is considering K-State? Nope. <\/p>\n Keep an eye on a Stanford commit from the Peach State. Georgia native and wideout Ricky Johnson<\/a><\/strong> has received increased attention from Kansas State in the past week. KSO<\/a><\/strong> has confirmed he is a real target moving forward. <\/p>\n Technically, as far as we know, the Wildcats haven\u2019t offered, but it\u2019s possible they have and it just hasn\u2019t been posted. Keep an eye on it. <\/p>\n Michael Boganowski<\/p>\n K-State made waves in the Class of 2023 when they finally secured the services of the No. 1 player in the state in Avery Johnson<\/a><\/strong>. It had been something that had been challenging for them for a long time, and they finally met the mark. <\/p>\n And it\u2019s a big deal to be the best player in the state and play for your home team. Folks downplay it. But it\u2019s significant. It\u2019s especially the case when you\u2019re the quarterback of course, but there\u2019s a reason why the biggest roar of week one was for Johnson when he entered the game. <\/p>\n Kansas State is hoping to string together cycle after cycle after cycle after cycle at this point. Thank Taylor Braet<\/strong> because he\u2019s the main reason why the Wildcats are a force within their own borders. And Saturday could be significant on that front. <\/p>\n The Wildcats may have the No. 1 player in the state for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes on campus this weekend in Manhattan. <\/p>\n Michael Boganowski<\/a><\/strong> is the best in 2024, and the Junction City standout is already marked as being an expected visitor. Jayden Woods<\/a><\/strong> is not only the No. 1 prospect for the 2025 cycle but he may be a five-star recruit at the end of the day. He may make his way towards his Manhattan as well. <\/p>\n Those two could be joined by the top player in Kansas for the 2026 cycle, too. It may be the edge rusher from Wichita Northwest in JohnMichael Fountain<\/a><\/strong>. Is he an outside linebacker\/ Is he a defensive end? We know he\u2019s a Power Five prospect that can pursue the quarterback. <\/p>\n Be sure to keep an eye on content in the next 4-5 days from Drew Galloway of KSO. <\/p>\n He will be the man when it comes to coverage of K-State offensive line target Grant Brix<\/a><\/strong>.
