It\u2019s the morning after Ole Miss football made easy work of Mercer to open the 2023 season, and Ben Garrett (Ole Miss Spirit\/On3) and Bradley Sowell (former Rebel offensive lineman\/eight-year NFL veteran) are here to break it all down<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the topics: Jaxson Dart started, as expected, and looked in complete control<\/a><\/strong>. Elsewhere, the Rebels Harris, Tre and Zxavian, each caught Brad\u2019s eye for their particular forms of dominance. Plus, a currently-thin Suntarine Perkins is going to be special<\/a><\/strong> and so much more. <\/p>\n

\u201c(The Rebels\u2019) talent is high,\u201d Sowell said. \u201cI\u2019ve seen a lot of Ole Miss football. This is a deep team. This is as good of an offense as Ole Miss has ever had from just an all-around, top-to-bottom standpoint. We have dudes who would be starting on (other) teams that aren\u2019t getting to play.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m at an 8-4, 9-3 (for the Rebels\u2019 end-of-year record). We are going to beat somebody we aren\u2019t supposed to this year. I feel it. You better show up against this offense. This is a very talented offense. <\/p>\n

\u201cGood luck defending it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ole Miss is 1-0, and next up is a road trip to Tulane. <\/h2>\n

The Green Wave entered the year ranked No. 24 in the country in Top 25 polls \u2014 just two spots below the Rebels \u2014 and also opened the season with a win on Saturday. <\/p>\n

But let\u2019s pass on what\u2019s next for now and focus on what just went down. Suffice to say, there\u2019s a lot of ground to cover. <\/p>\n
