The Nebraska<\/a><\/strong> defense has been playing a good game thus far against Minnesota<\/a><\/strong>. Not much has been working for PJ Fleck<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s team and the score shows. To this point, the Golden Gophers only have three points attached to their name.<\/p>\n

However, one play caused everything to go sour. Minnesota quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis<\/a><\/strong> was dropping back to pass in the third quarter before throwing a strike across the middle. As the FOX camera panned away, you saw Kaliakmanis take a shot.<\/p>\n

Turns out, Nebraska defensive lineman Ty Robinson<\/a><\/strong> was flagged for targeting, making head-to-head contact with the quarterback. Despite the officials taking the play to replay, there was never much debate. Robinson was ejected from the game after a quick review.<\/p>\n

And since the penalty occurred in the second half on Thursday, Robinson will miss the first half of Nebraska\u2019s next game. The Cornhuskers will be traveling to Boulder to renew a bitter rivalry against Colorado<\/a><\/strong>. For two quarters next Saturday, head coach Matt Rhule<\/a><\/strong> will have to deal without one of his best defensive linemen.<\/p>\n
