Josh Allen<\/a><\/strong> appreciated the throw made by quarterback Anthony Richardson<\/a><\/strong>. He watched the rookie throw \u201can absolute dime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, nobody caught the ball and the game didn\u2019t count. But wow. The Bills veteran wants the Colts first-year starter to know he appreciates his arm. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I got to see Anthony Richardson live this year,\u201d Allen said during an interview Wednesday on The Pat McAfee Show. \u201cHe\u2019s a specimen man. Physical freak. He can spin the ball. He threw an absolute dime against us. It was a corner route. Wasn\u2019t caught against us, but it was an absolute dime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then he recalled what he told Richardson after the game when the two shook hands. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m all about pushing the game forward,\u201d Allen said. \u201cTalking right after the game, \u2018if there\u2019s anything that I can do to help,you,\u2019 like I I\u2019m all about pushing the game forward. If there\u2019s a question that he may have, like, reach out to me. <\/p>\n

\u201cLike I talk to Trey Lance<\/a><\/strong>,\u201d Allen said of the former 49er turned Cowboy quarterback. \u201cWe have the same agent, so me and Trey have a nice little relationship. And obviously (he\u2019s got) a new start for him there in Dallas. But you know, I want to help people out, man. I don\u2019t think this is a time to hold things in. Because again, I can help them out. And who knows, they might say something that might switch something in my mind and help me out, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Did you notice the delighted reaction from McAfee when Josh Allen mentioned Anthony Richardson? You can call McAfee a super fan of the rookie. McAfee is a former punter for the Colts. He was on hand for last Thursday\u2019s Colts game against the Eagles. And he joined Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit in the booth, proclaiming \u201cAnthony Richardson\u2019s gonna lead us to a Super Bowl.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Josh Allen probably was impressed when Anthony Richardson stretched for the end zone in a preseason game against the Bills. half at Highmark (Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports)<\/p>\n

Richardson, who was the No. 4 pick of April\u2019s draft, also is quickly adapting to the ways of the NFL<\/a>. Indianapolis beat the Eagles, 27-13, in both team\u2019s preseason finale. In the big scheme of things, the game didn\u2019t mean much, other than to help finalize rosters.<\/p>\n

However, Richardson celebrated a touchdown drive by flapping his arms like an eagle. Yep, he gave it right back to the hostile Fly-Eagles-Fly crowd. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was just having fun,\u201d Richardson told reporters. \u201cI hope nobody takes it the wrong way.\u201d<\/p>\n
