{"id":14974,"date":"2023-08-28T15:38:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T20:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo.wztzfm.com\/wp\/?p=14974"},"modified":"2023-08-28T15:38:00","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T20:38:00","slug":"revelxp-launches-ticketing-division-a-one-stop-shop-for-consumers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.wztzfm.com\/wp\/revelxp-launches-ticketing-division-a-one-stop-shop-for-consumers\/","title":{"rendered":"REVELxp launches ticketing division, a \u2018one-stop shop\u2019 for consumers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>REVELxp<\/strong>, a leading fan experience and hospitality company, will announce on Monday the launch of its new ticketing division, a significant that the company believes will make it an essential one-stop shop for consumers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The ticketing division will complement REVELxp\u2019s suite of established offerings for partners, which include full-service tailgating, custom game-day events, premium hospitality, seasonal venue builds and premier staffing. Executives believe the ticketing division is the natural extension to provide partners and fans with an all-encompassing\u00a0experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>By building out the full ticketing platform, REVELxp, founded in 2020, believes it is uniquely positioned to offer partners a model that combines game-day experiences with event tickets. <strong>Tracy White<\/strong>, REVELxp\u2019s president, believes ticketing will become the company\u2019s largest sales division.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we\u2019re providing hospitality and opportunities for fans, a frequent question we get is, \u2018Well, what about tickets? Can I buy tickets from you as well?&#8217;\u201d White told\u00a0On3. \u201cBecause most people like to have one-stop shopping for their tickets and hospitality and overall fan experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>REVELxp is the official ticketing partner of\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/colorado-state-rams\/\">Colorado State<\/a><\/strong>, which will be the first client to receive the company\u2019s complete offerings. The ticketing division\u2019s services will initially be used in an \u201cas needed\u201d capacity by other partners, including\u00a0the\u00a0<strong>College Football Playoff<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>SEC<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Big Ten Conference<\/strong>, along with 15 athletic departments and non-college properties.<\/p>\n<p>REVELxp has recently launched ticket sales partnerships with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/usc-trojans\/\">USC<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/michigan-wolverines\/\">Michigan<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/washington-huskies\/\">Washington<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/louisville-cardinals\/\">Louisville<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/wake-forest-demon-deacons\/\">Wake Forest<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/arizona-state-sun-devils\/\">Arizona State<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/florida-state-seminoles\/\">Florida State<\/a><\/strong>, among others.\u00a0In all, the company has partnerships with more than 100 collegiate and professional partnerships nationwide, hosting more than two million fans at hundreds of events annually.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, when we started thinking about this: We do pregame experiences, we do in-game experiences, we have non-game-day opportunities,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Brad Sexton<\/strong>, the company\u2019s vice president of sales, told\u00a0On3. \u201cTicketing was a natural extension for business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The all-encompassing\u00a0offering by an industry leader addresses a challenge that both college and professional teams increasingly face: How do you enhance the in-venue experience to combat the increasing convenience and appeal offered by the at-home viewing experience?<\/p>\n<p>REVELxp executives echoed sentiments\u00a0expressed in recent years by athletic directors and pro team officials. The new generation of fans wants to be entertained, but the game may not be their primary motivation. They seek a social, communal, personalized experience. And they want to be entertained pregame, during the game and postgame.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That is what colleges need to deliver at a time when they face pronounced pain points trying to maximize both people in the seats as well as ticketing revenue. White\u00a0said fans\u00a0are willing to pay a premium for attractive and appealing overall experiences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018One-stop shopping for the consumer\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>REVELxp believes that, the hospitality experiences they provide pregame \u2013 along with other elements \u2013 it is creating a greater connection point between fans and the university. Plus, selling tickets with these other assets creates a greater\u00a0revenue opportunity and a higher ceiling for revenue for its partners.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The way executives put it: It is more than just selling a ticket \u2013 it\u2019s sort of a ticket-plus experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re only a good partner for our partners if we\u2019re growing overall revenue streams,\u201d Sexton said. \u201cAnd because we have additional assets to layer into the overall ticket sales, we\u2019re able to be a little bit more aggressive on the risk-taking on our sales to grow the overall revenue for our partners. We\u2019re\u00a0not risk-averse the way some others are, where they really make sure that they have a guaranteed profit at the end of the day regardless of results. We want to make sure we\u2019re aligned with our partners and we\u2019re growing revenues and we all share in that together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s ticketing clients are supported by locally based REVELxp sellers as well as the company\u2019s Dallas-based sales center, comprised of more than 40 employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>REVELxp is the official hospitality provider for the CFP. They handle 100-plus of their suite sales and 1,000-plus of their best-located seating inventory. Around that, they build out events, including concerts and parties, and hotel packages they then bundle with those tickets. They also have official relationships with all Power Five conferences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe really are one-stop shopping for the consumer,\u201d White said. \u201cWhen we think about going to our college partners, it\u2019s creating an opportunity to increase your overall value and the revenue that comes in by meeting the expectations of what fans want. They\u2019re willing to spend. You just have to make sure that the experience matches up to that.
