In other news, former Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford<\/a><\/strong> has won the backup job with the Green Bay Packers. The NFC North franchise picked the former four-year starter for the Nittany Lions in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He then impressed during camp and the preseason. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s safe to say Sean\u2019s our No. 2 quarterback,\u201d Packers coach Matt LaFleur told reporters. He will work behind starter Jordan Love during his rookie season.<\/p>\n
