Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy four-star quarterback George MacIntyre<\/a><\/strong> is as coveted of a prospect as there is in the 2025 class heading into his junior season. <\/p>\n

The No. 13 overall prospect and No. 2 quarterback in the On3 Industry Ranking<\/a> has collected offers from the likes of Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, UCLA, Auburn and more. <\/p>\n

Each of those programs have made him one of their top priorities \u2014 if not their No. 1 \u2014 over the course of the last few months. He spent the spring and summer taking visits and is moving forward with the recruiting process, albeit in no rush. <\/p>\n

\u201cI am just trying to enjoy the whole process right now and not put too much pressure on myself,\u201d he told On3. \u201cRecruiting is still on my mind, but I am just enjoying my junior season, focused on that first and I want to do my best there first. I know this is a big year for me with recruiting, so I will take the visits during the season, keep talking with the coaches and I should make a decision by the end of the school year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since August 1, when coaches were allowed to begin contacting 2025 recruits directly, MacIntyre said he hears often from numerous programs. He says the schools he\u2019s been in contact with most over the past few weeks are Alabama, Tennessee, UCLA, LSU, Auburn, Michigan, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Oregon and Notre Dame. <\/p>\n

Tennessee making the in-state star their No. 1 target<\/h2>\n

No program, though, is in contact with him more than Tennessee, the in-state program and one of the first to offer MacIntyre. <\/p>\n

\u201cI have been on the phone a lot with Tennessee since Aug. 1,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is a good blend with Tennessee. Sometimes we just catch up and check in, then they keep it consistent with the message, that I am their guy. They always say the best players in the state don\u2019t leave the state, so I know they want me at Tennessee and that message is always clear.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Vols have made locking down the state\u2019s borders a major point of emphasis under Josh Heupel, and MacIntyre has noticed that with the 2024 and 2025 classes. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey have done a great job keeping the guys home in 2024 with Boo Carter<\/a><\/strong>, Edwin Spillman<\/a><\/strong>, Kaleb Beasley<\/a><\/strong> and some others. So if they can do that again in 2025, the could be a program changer. <\/p>\n

\u2026 It is hard not to notice what Coach Heupel does with the quarterbacks and offense. I have been to practice and games, and I always see it. I really like what Tennessee does as an offense because they throw the ball down the field. That is still something some schools don\u2019t do, so I like what they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alabama zeroed in on MacIntyre as well<\/h2>\n

The Volunteers\u2019 SEC rival, Alabama, also has made a strong push for MacIntyre over the course of the last six months. He has visited Tuscaloosa multiple times since the spring, and they\u2019re pushing all the right buttons with him. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of July, you don\u2019t really have a lot of time to take visits, so me going back just shows how much I like them,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat keeps me going back is how they are recruiting me. They have done a great job from the beginning. Coach Tommy Rees offered me in January and he has always told me that I am their guy. Being in that position and knowing how Alabama wants me is a great feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

His most recent trip was much more low-key than some of the other visits, and he got to spend time with some of Alabama\u2019s 2025 commits and top targets. That included five-star wideout commit Ryan Williams<\/a><\/strong>, elite four-star pledge Jamie Ffrench<\/a><\/strong>, 2026 commit Zykie Helton<\/a><\/strong> and five-star offensive line target David Sanders<\/a><\/strong>. The group spent time together at Nick Saban\u2019s lake house and talked about what it would be like to play together at the next level. <\/p>\n

But for now, the next step is a return visit this fall the Texas game. <\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the season, I want to see how Alabama adapts to a new quarterback,\u201d MacIntyre said. \u201cIt is a three-way battle right now, and I want to see who wins it out and how they handle it. Alabama will be Alabama, but how the quarterback situation plays out is something I will be watching.\u201d <\/p>\n

LSU, Auburn and UCLA among the top contenders as well<\/h2>\n

On top of the Vols and Crimson Tide, MacIntyre mentioned Auburn, UCLA and LSU as programs he has been communication consistently with. He broke down what stands out about each:<\/p>\n

LSU<\/strong>: I have visited LSU five times, and I am looking to get back for the Arkansas game. Coach Sloan has done a very good job recruiting me and I have developed a really good relationship with much of the LSU staff. I already know some of their commitments, I like the coaches and I always have a good time when I am there. Even before LSU offered, me and Coach Sloan talked quite a bit. I like him and I like how he communicates with me. Him, the staff and how the people at LSU love football make it a school I like a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Auburn<\/strong>: They have really been communicating with me. Their whole offensive staff texted me on Aug. 1, then Coach Hugh Freeze called me at 7 a.m. He was the first head coach I talked to and Auburn has done a really good job the first few weeks. I have yet to visit Auburn, but now I plan to go for the Iron Bowl. After the way they are recruiting me, Auburn has hopped in the mix. I didn\u2019t really know a lot about the new staff, but I have some interest now. They have flipped some big-time recruits and I want to check them out.\u201d<\/p>\n

UCLA<\/strong>: \u201cI visited in May and they really blew me away. Coach Farris is their tight ends coach and he was Duke\u2019s quarterbacks coach before. We have a great relationship and he is probably one of my favorite coaches to talk to. Chip Kelly is a quarterback guru, I see UCLA as a team on its way up and I like how they are moving to the Big Ten. I am looking to get out there for the Washington State game.\u201d<\/p>\n
