While Jerome Tang and company are hoping to fill one more spot on the 2023-2024 roster and continue to pursue 2024 targets, Chris Klieman and his staff are focused on high school players in the Class of 2024 and 2025.

Kansas State OL target Grant Brix

Discovering the timing of a potential college decision and nailing it down with 100 percent accuracy is one of the most difficult things to do when covering recruiting. KSO has always shared that detail, but we do think we’re approaching the time of a potential announcement from four-star Kansas State offensive line target Grant Brix.

If he truly wants to have it completed before his senior season begins, very little time remains. In fact, school has already started up at Logan-Magnolia High in Iowa. The race for his services continues to be a three-way battle between K-State, Oklahoma and Nebraska.

However, if you were to ask the Sooners or Huskers, they’d consider it more of a two-way collision between themselves. Brix’s recruitment would be more reflective of it being a three-team competition based on his actions.

Can Kansas State shock many and receive his pledge? Absolutely. But the most signs point to Nebraska at the moment.

Potential basketball transfer

Landing Ques Glover isn’t where Tang and the Wildcats want the offseason recruiting cycle to finish. They want a 13th player. Ideally, it would be a big, but K-State will be accepting and excited for just the best player available.

More than anything, they wanted a guard for one of the final two spots. Glover satisfies that need. The transfer portal is light on appealing commodities but heavy on demands from several teams. Do not be surprised if Kansas State isn’t a bit more creative in terms of where they choose to look.

Jerome Tang/USA TODAY – Brad Penner

2025 TE Linkon Cure

My first prediction for the 2025 class was picking Goodland tight end Linkon Cure to land at K-State. Nothing has happened for me to come off that line of thinking, and I don’t foresee anything doing so in the future.

2025 K-State WR target Bryson Hayes

Like with Cure, I have already projected Maize standout receiver Bryson Hayes to commit to Kansas State. Him not doing so would be a shock, even if he does take a little longer than Cure to come to that decision.

The post Commit watch: Kansas State target on brink of decision? appeared first on On3.

Which of the Kansas State targets, both on the basketball and football front, could be…

[1

post-14488","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
