The high school season for the Texas Longhorns\u2019 commits in 2024 and 2025 classes gets fully underway beginning Thursday. <\/p>\n
Week one in the state of Texas includes all nine in-state commitments on fields across the state. All told, 15 of the 16 Texas commitments in the 2024 class will be playing this weekend. <\/p>\n
And 2025 4-star quarterback commitment K.J. Lacey<\/a> will play his season opener on the ESPN family of networks Friday night. <\/p>\n Inside Texas will take a weekly look at the game schedule for the Texas commitments. Here is week one of the high school season.<\/p>\n Richland High will travel to Mansfield to take on Legacy High on Thursday, August 24 at 7 p.m. Cruz was the district Newcomer of the Year as a freshman, and has been a first-team all-district selection each of the last two years. Hampton was named the 10-3A Utility Player of the Year as a sophomore, and backed it up by being named the 11-3A Co-MVP in 2022. <\/p>\n Jones High plays host to a talented Cocoa High team on Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m. eastern.
