Class of 2025 four-star outside linebacker Jakaleb \u201cJJ\u201d Faulk<\/a><\/strong> is set to announce his commitment on Monday, Aug. 21.<\/p>\n

Faulk, who attends Highland Home (Ala.), will commit to one of the two in-state SEC schools. He previously had named a top five of Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Clemson.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s down to Alabama and Auburn,\u201d Faulk told Auburn Live. \u201cI was looking at all five, but I decided it\u2019s really down to Auburn and Alabama. That\u2019s what I summed it up to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faulk has reasons for having both the Tigers and Tide as his finalists.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Alabama, you can\u2019t go wrong with Alabama,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a great program. I have great talks with Coach (Robert) Bala, the new linebackers coach. And Alabama, it\u2019s just a great place overall.<\/p>\n

\u201cAuburn, I love what Coach (Hugh) Freeze is doing. Coach (Josh) Aldridge has been like a big brother to me. He calls me and talks to me for a good 10 minutes. There are great people at Auburn and it has a great environment. I love it there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faulk set for Monday night decision<\/h2>\n

It doesn\u2019t hurt the Tigers\u2019 chances that Faulk\u2019s older brother, Keldric, is a freshman defensive lineman at Auburn. However, the younger Faulk said it won\u2019t factor into his decision.<\/p>\n

\u201c(Keldric at Auburn) really doesn\u2019t have a big role in my decision,\u201d he said. \u201cHe tells me all the time that I should just follow my heart and go where I feel the most comfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faulk has visited Auburn several times this calendar year, including July 31 for the Tigers\u2019 Big Cat recruiting event. He\u2019s also visited Alabama at least twice since March.<\/p>\n

Auburn currently holds a commanding lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM. The Tigers are on top with an 84 percent chance to land him, thanks in large part to a prediction from Auburn Live\u2019s Cole Pinkston.<\/p>\n

Faulk, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, is ranked the No. 151 overall recruit in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks the No. 14 edge in the class and No. 11 overall recruit in Alabama.<\/p>\n

Faulk\u2019s announcement is set for 6 p.m. CT. He\u2019ll make his decision during a ceremony at the Highland Home High School gymnasium. Auburn Live will be in attendance for Faulk\u2019s big announcement and provide live coverage.<\/p>\n
