NASCAR<\/a> Xfinity and Truck Series driver Chris Hacker has issued a statement following his suspension<\/a>. He was arrested on a DWI charge this month.<\/p>\n

FOX\u2019s Bob Pockrass<\/a> shared Hacker\u2019s statement with a post on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Monday night, I was pulled over by a Mecklenburg County Sheriff for speeding and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol,\u201d Hacker wrote. \u201cI am deeply sorry for the mistake I made, and while no one was hurt, I take full responsibility for how dangerous my actions were and will be seeking treatment through an alcohol rehab program.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo my fans, my team, my sponsors, my family and friends: I am sorry for letting you down. The support I\u2019ve been given throughout my racing career means the world to me, and I\u2019m committed to getting the help I need so I can return to the track stronger than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hacker was arrested by Huntersville Police and charged with DWI, Speeding, Reckless Driving to Endanger, and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt. Hacker\u2019s license has been suspended for 30 days and he has a court date set for September 19th.<\/p>\n

Hacker raced part-time in both the Xfinity Series and NASCAR Truck Series. He has participated in 13 Truck Series events over three years. His first appearance as an Xfinity Series driver came this year, running in the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond.<\/p>\n

NASCAR placed an indefinite suspension on Hacker following the arrest.<\/p>\n

Jason White also suspended by NASCAR<\/h2>\n

In addition to Hacker\u2019s suspension, NASCAR also indefinitely suspended Jason White for a DWI arrest. He\u2019s also a part-time driver in the Truck Series.<\/p>\n

White\u2019s arrest also occurred this month. Along with the DWI, White failed to report his arrest to NASCAR, per Jeff Gluck of The Athletic<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

White was arrested by Huntersville Police on August 3rd just before 6 in the evening. Early in his career, White raced in the Cup Series twice. He was a regular in the Truck and Xfinity Series either on a full-time or part-time schedule. However, between 2014 and 2021, he wasn\u2019t able to secure a ride.<\/p>\n

A court date of Sept. 6 has been set for White.<\/p>\n

White has raced in 55 Xfinity Series races over a 10-year period, owning a pair of top-10 finishes. He has also participated in 157 Truck Series events over a 12-year stretch. He has finished inside the top-10 times.<\/p>\n
