Mason Taylor<\/a><\/strong> made up for his slow recruitment as a true freshman. <\/p>\n

While he may have only been a three-star recruit, he started at tight end last season for LSU<\/a><\/strong>. He caught the two-point conversion in overtime to knock off Alabama<\/a><\/strong> and put the nation on notice about his budding stardom. <\/p>\n

A Freshman ALL-SEC selection, he\u2019s one of the most recognized names returning to the Tigers\u2019 roster this fall. The son of NFL star Jason Taylor<\/strong> has become a name to watch in the NIL<\/a> space, too, signing an NIL deal<\/a> with the John Deere<\/strong> dealer Sunshine Quality Solutions<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Taylor\u2019s game-winning catch will be a major selling point of his agreement with Sunshine. The brand has plans to launch the \u201cClearing a Path to Victory\u201d campaign when LSU visits Alabama on Nov. 4. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited to partner with Sunshine,\u201d Taylor said in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s a blessing to partner with such a reputable company and utilize my Name, Image, and Likeness for a fun and impactful campaign. We took a concept that can relate with, clearing a path to victory, and put a little twist on it. I\u2019m excited for everyone to see the work we are doing together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor is the fourth Tiger to sign an endorsement deal with the\u00a0John Deere\u00a0dealer, which has 17 locations in southern Louisiana and Mississippi. He joins linebacker\u00a0Harold Perkins<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and offensive linemen\u00a0Will Campbell<\/a><\/strong> and Emery Jones<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-6, 255-pounder set LSU freshman records for a tight end last year with 38 receptions and 414 receiving yards. He came on strong towards the end of the season, too, with six catches in the SEC title game against Georgia<\/a><\/strong> and 88 receiving yards in the Citrus Bowl against Purdue<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Taylor inked<\/a> an endorsement deal with\u00a0Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys<\/strong> the week after his breakout performance against Alabama. One of the most active figures in NIL, McKernan hasn\u2019t generated as much national attention as\u00a0Miami<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0mega-booster\u00a0John Ruiz<\/strong>\u00a0and LifeWallet<\/a>. But McKernan and his firm have struck significant NIL deals with\u00a0top student-athletes at all of the top college programs in Louisiana.<\/p>\n

The tight end also recently shared he\u2019s signed on with the Baton Rouge-based\u00a0Raising Cane\u2019s<\/strong>. The fast-food chicken finger chain has become a popular brand in the\u00a0NIL\u00a0Era, inking notable agreements with\u00a0Stetson Bennett<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Trey Benson<\/a><\/strong>, the\u00a0Cavinder Twins<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Angel Reese<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Flau\u2019jae Johnson<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The sophomore\u2019s on-field success last year has helped build a social media brand for him, with more than 21,000 followers between Instagram<\/a><\/strong> and X<\/a><\/strong>. A strong performance in Week 1 under the national spotlight at Florida State<\/a><\/strong> could only help his following. <\/p>\n
