Top 100 prospects <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/kameryn-fountain-176426\/\">Kameryn Fountain<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/walter-matthews-151591\/\">Walter Matthews<\/a><\/strong> committed to USC after their official visits in June. Five-Star Buford (GA) DL <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/eddrick-houston-145663\/\">Eddrick Houston<\/a><\/strong> announces his school choice on August 22.<\/p>\n<p>Chances are low the Trojans land Houston, but they are the main competition for the Buckeyes. That\u2019s a reflection of his opinion of head coach Lincoln Riley, DL coach Shaun Nua and the USC football program. If USC vastly improves defensively this season, they\u2019ll likely start getting more elite defensive recruits like Houston.<\/p>\n<p>USC also has a verbal commit from Alabama\u2019s No. 1 2025 prospect in Safety <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/anquon-fegans-5769\/\">Anquon Fegans<\/a><\/strong>, so the Trojans have already shown the ability to attract top talent from around the nation. It obviously helped USC gaining a commitment from Fegans\u2019 older brother and Alabama Safety transfer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/trequon-fegans-115442\/\">Tre\u2019Quon Fegans<\/a><\/strong>, but that happened after the Fegans family experienced a weekend at USC.<\/p>\n<p>Ewald had his first opportunity to visit USC on June 14. He also visited five other schools in June. He\u2019s since decommitted from Ohio State and the Trojans remain a legitimate option. Although we definitely won\u2019t imply Ewald will decommit from Michigan, he said there are plans to head back to USC for a second visit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were a lot of prospects at USC the day I visited, but I\u2019m just glad I got to see the campus and have another conversation with Coach Donte,\u201d Ewald said. <\/p>\n<p>Prior to the USC visit Ewald didn\u2019t have regular communications with USC, but the Trojans have since picked up their effort. That effort and Ewald\u2019s interest are what will likely lead him back for that second visit. Prior to committing to Michigan in December, Ewald was actually\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/chris-ewald-150287\/recruiting\/164405\/rpm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">favored to commit to Miami<\/a>, although Michigan was in second place prior to his pledge.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spiny.ai\/\">Spiny.ai<\/a>\u00a0to create the industry\u2019s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.<\/p>\n<h2>On3 NIL Valuation<\/h2>\n<p>Ewald has an\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/chris-ewald-150287\/nil\/\">On3 NIL Valuation of\u00a0$76K<\/a><\/strong>. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry\u2019s leading index that sets high school and college athletes\u2019 projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete\u2019s value at a certain moment in time.<\/p>\n<h2>USC\u2019s 2025 class<\/h2>\n<p>USC holds one commitment in the 2025 class in Oxford (Ala.) Thompson four-star safety\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/anquon-fegans-5769\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anquon Fegans<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fegans is the No. 30 overall prospect and No. 2 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/rankings\/industry-player\/football\/2025\/\">On3 Industry Ranking<\/a><\/strong>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
