Jail records show that Smoot is still in custody as of Friday morning on a charge of misdemeanor failure to comply with support obligation. <\/p>\n<p>According to Virginia state <a href=\"https:\/\/law.lis.virginia.gov\/vacode\/title16.1\/chapter11\/section16.1-278.16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">law<\/a>, the misdemeanor suggests the former Washington Commanders star \u201cfailed to perform or comply with a court order concerning the custody and visitation of a child, or a court or administrative order concerning the support and maintenance of a child, or a court order concerning the support and maintenance of a spouse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His arrest on Thursday morning was not the first time the Mississippi State alum has found himself behind bars. In 2019, cops arrested Smoot for failure to appear in court over traffic violations.<\/p>\n<p>He was also involved in the infamous \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/vikingswire.usatoday.com\/2022\/10\/06\/vikings-love-boat-anniversary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Love Boat<\/a>\u201d scandal when he was with the Minnesota Vikings in 2005.
