Michigan has landed a flip commitment from three-star Nappanee (Ind.) Northwood athlete Jo\u2019Ziah Edmond<\/a><\/strong>, who was previously pledged to Purdue since June 10. He decommitted from the Boilermakers on Monday<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

Edmond, who was recruited to Ann Arbor as a cornerback, is the first at the position to join U-M\u2019s 2024 class as well as the first from the state of Indiana. <\/p>\n

Other notable schools that entered the mix for the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder include Baylor, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Kentucky and Iowa State. His commitment to Purdue occurred a day after taking an official visit to West Lafeyette. <\/p>\n

Edmond is listed as the No. 645 overall prospect and No. 26 athlete in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking<\/strong><\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four primary recruiting media services. He\u2019s also the No. 7 player in the state of Indiana<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

Michigan now has 27 commits in its\u00a02024 recruiting class<\/strong><\/a> with Edmond onboard. Rounding out the group are Top 100 Charlotte (N.C.)
