Former NFL wide receiver, Dez Bryant, has never been shy about voicing his opinion. His latest remark that stirred up some summer controversy was a proclamation that Will Levis<\/a><\/strong> will wind up being the Titans\u2019 starting quarterback. <\/p>\n

\u201c[Will Levis is] going to end up being the starter,\u201d Bryant said<\/a> as noted by Personal Corner. <\/p>\n

Bryant did not go as far as saying he would be the starter in the first game of the season, but the insinuation is that he would take over the reins at some point this year. The team currently lists him as the third quarterback on the depth chart behind legacy starter Ryan Tannehill<\/a><\/strong> and Tennesee\u2019s third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Malik Willis<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tannehill is 34 years old and entering his fifth season with the Titans, the final one of his contract. It is unlikely the team will re-sign him next season, thus their inkling to draft a quarterback in back-to-back years. <\/p>\n

Similarly, drafting Levis does not bode well for Malik Willis\u2019 future with the team. If the Titans cut Willis during camp, another team would he would undoubtedly pick up quickly, but some reports suggest he has outplayed Levis in practice<\/a> thus far.<\/p>\n

Levis became the final Titans draft pick to officially sign with the team<\/a> on Saturday morning, agreeing to a standard four-year rookie contract. While details of the deal are not yet public, Sportrac projects it is worth roughly $9.5 million with $7 million of it guaranteed, including a $3.9 million signing bonus.<\/p>\n

The Titans finally picked up a formidable wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins<\/a><\/strong>, so if and when Levis does take over, at least he will have a veteran weapon at his disposal. <\/p>\n

The question might not be if Levis becomes the starter, but when, making Dez Bryant right\u2026eventually. <\/p>\n

Dez Bryant (former NFL WR) said recently that he believes Levis will \u201cend up\u201d being the starter.<\/p>\n

Levis also said in a recent interview that he wants to be the \u201cbest\u201d QB in Titans history.<\/p>\n
